Walt Disney World keeps getting more magical and 2022 is no exception!

The most magical celebration on Earth celebrates the 50th anniversary of the resort with new shows, attractions and amazing decor! But the party doesn’t end there, the magic continues next year with new offerings that everyone will love.

MOANA – JOURNEY OF WATER

Next year make way for Moana! This maze-like attractions will let guests interact with magical, living water in a beautiful and inspiring setting!

There is no specific opening date for the attraction but is definitely happening in 2022. We can’t wait!

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY: COSMIC REWIND

Another attraction coming to Epcot is Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind!

A family friendly adventure featuring a totally new type of roller coaster experience developed only for this attraction. A storycoaster that rotates 360 degrees so you’re always focused on all the action as you help the Guardians to save the galaxy.

But not everything is at Epcot, Magic Kingdom is also getting a new attraction in 2022: Tron Lightcycle Run!

On this coaster-style attractions you will board a train made up of two-wheeled lightcycles. The ride offers access into the energy, lights, and excitement of TRON’s high-tech universe and is one of the most thrilling adventures at any Disney park.

This new attraction will be located in Tomorrowland, next to Space Mountain and Tomorrowland Speedway.

STAR WARS GALACTIC STARCRUISER

Get ready to get immerse in a galaxy far far away with a revolutionary 2 night experience where you will be the hero of your own story!

This galactic experience is part live immersive theater, part themed environment, part culinary extravaganza, part real life role playing game and so much more! You won’t regret it!

Voyages on the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser begin March 1, 2022.

MAGICBAND+

magicband+

MagicBand+ will be available for purchase beginning next year. This new magicband will retain the popular features we already know while adding functionality that unlocks new moments of magic for you at Walt Disney World!

It will allow you to engage with favorite Disney moments in new ways once you enter the park, for example interact with the Disney Fab 50 statues, play like a bounty hunter in a galaxy far away or experience nighttime spectaculars in a new way as your band lights up!

HEY DISNEY!

Hey Disney

Disney and Amazon are partnering up to create a custom voice assistance using Amazon Alexa technology. This new skill will be called “Hey Disney!” and will respond to vocal prompts in homes and inside Disney resort hotel rooms at Walt Disney World.

So if you are staying at a Disney hotel at Walt Disney World next year, you will get to experience this optional and complementary option in your room!

DISNEY’S MAGICAL EXPRESS

Magical Express

Earlier this year Disney announced Disney’s Magical Express will be removed beginning January 1st, 2022. This complementary service allowed Walt Disney World guests to travel from the airport to their hotel and back.

Now, guest will have the option for pay for “Mears Connect”, a shuttle that will offer a couple of different options with different price points. For example one way could be $16 for adults or round trip would be $32 for adults.
