As we approach the middle of August, most families are celebrating the last vestiges of Summer before its back to school. However, for those living in Central Florida or who are planning a late Summer visit to Walt Disney World, there’s definitely time to have one last hurrah and we think Disney Springs is the perfect place to do it! Here are some suggestions for celebrating Summer at Disney’s downtown shopping district
Grab a Pineapple Soft Serve – You don’t have to head to the parks to indulge in this tropical treat. Whether your heading to Disney Springs for back to school shopping or a night on the town, be sure to stop by Marketplace snacks and pick up a cup of this tasty Pineapple Soft Serve.
Try One of These Other Delicious Sweet Treats- No treat says Summer like S’mores. This beloved campfire treat has inspired many delicious treats at Disney Springs. Head on over to The Ganachery and try the Made-to-Order S’mores in all their ooey-gooey splendor. Sprinkles is also serving a S’mores cupcake (pictured above) or head over to Amorette’s Patisserie for the Campfire S’mores Petite Cake.
Indulge in a Beer and Some Tasty BBQ – In case you haven’t heard Disney Springs Brews & BBQ runs through Labor Day. Simply stop by the Disney Springs Welcome Center for a guide to all the BBQ goodness and head to your restaurant of choice for tasty dishes and perfect drinks to wash them down. You’ll find everything from burgers and ribs to salads and steaks! Be sure to bring your appetites.
Bowl the Night Away at Splitsville Luxury Lanes – It’s not too late to make some amazing Summer memories with your family. A great way to enjoy a bit of family fun is with a game or two of bowling. Splitsville offers Early Bird Bowling every day until 12 pm. During this time, kids 9 and under can bowl for $10 and adults are just $14. Bowling shoes are included!
Enjoy the Last Sips of Summer – During your Adults Only visit to Disney Springs be sure to pop by Paddlefish for Happy Hour. They are offering $5 draft beers as well as $20 bottles of rose at the park from 2-4 pm and on the 3rd deck from 9-11 pm.
These are just some of the ways that you can enjoy a last hurrah at Disney Springs and Walt Disney World during the month of August! So what are you waiting for? Start making those end-of-Summer travel plans!
