Frozen Treats to Help Beat the Heat at Walt Disney World

Spring is blossoming at Walt Disney World. The sun is shining, the flowers are flourishing however along with the beauty of spring arrives the rise in temperatures. Disney Addicts are prepared for the warm days at the parks. You pack your water bottles, cooling towels, fans, and sunscreen, but what if you find yourself in need of a little treat that is not only delicious but can help you cool off as you take a break. With hot summer days ahead, let’s take a look at some of my favorite frozen treats around Walt Disney World to help you beat the heat this summer!

Frozen Treats to Help Beat the Heat at Walt Disney World 1

Peter Pan Float-

Do you love Peter Pan? If so then the Peter Pan float has your name on it. This green frozen treat is both refreshing and adorable with a combination of lime soft-serve and Sprite topped off with a chocolate feather reminiscent of the feather in Peter Pan’s hat! The good news is no flight to Neverland is required. The Peter Pan Float is located at Storybook Treats in Fantasyland of Magic Kingdom park.

Dole Whip-

This iconic snack is located at Aloha Isle in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom Park. As you take your first bite of this dreamy treat you will be transported to pineapple paradise. The Dole Whip can be enjoyed in a cup or as a pineapple float where Pineapple juice and Pineapple Dole Whip are combined. Craving a Dole Whip but aren’t visiting Magic Kingdom Park? No problem! Head over to Pineapple Lanai at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort to enjoy this delicious frozen treat.

Limited Time Beverages at Lotus House-

Epcot’s International Flower and Garden Festival is brimming full of delicious food and beverage options this year. As you are traveling the world, adults (21 and over) should make sure to stop by Lotus House in China for some rejuvenating beverages such as the Kung Fu Punch or the Pirates of the China Sea which is a delicious combination of rum, peach syrup, and Pina Colada Mix.

Ice Cream at Beaches and Cream Soda Shop-

I need to make a confession…I love Beaches and Cream. They have great food and their desserts are out of this world. You can try a classic banana split or try my personal favorite the No Way José sundae. If you are feeling daring try the Kitchen Sink which is scoops of vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, cookies and cream and mint chocolate chip ice cream all covered with every topping they have! Some of the new offerings at Beaches and Cream are their seriously crave-worthy milkshakes. Can you say chocolate brownie milkshake?!? Yum!

Citrus Swirl-

If you are in the mood for a taste of Florida, then head over to Sunshine Tree Terrace which is located in the Magic Kingdom Park in Adventureland. Choose from the classic Citrus Swirl which is frozen orange juice slushy and vanilla soft serve ice cream that is either served in a cup or cone or try the Citrus Swirl Float with frozen orange juice slushy, vanilla soft serve ice cream and orange soda. Also available at Sunshine Tree Terrace is the thirst-quenching raspberry-lemonade slushy.

New treats at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort-

In addition to the traditional Dole Whip, there are a few new amazing offerings at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort where you can take a break and cool off in the midst of a tropical paradise. Moana fans can try the new Te Fiti cone with lime soft serve at Pineapple Lanai. For the kids at heart (ages 21 and over) try the refreshing new Frozen Margarita that is blended with tequila and Dole Whip lime!

Night Blossom-

While exploring the incredible Pandora-The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park, make sure to stop by Pongu Pongu and choose from a selection of refreshing drinks. My personal favorite is the Night Blossom. This frozen beverage consists of layers of apple and desert pear limeade topped with passion fruit Boba Balls. If you are not a fan of the Boba Balls, you can just ask for your Night Blossom without the topping.

Specialty Ice Cream Cones at Magic Kingdom Park-

These delightful character inspired cones can be found at Magic Kingdom Park (some listed as limited time offerings), so the next time you are at the Magic Kingdom make sure to check them out! Let’s first begin at Aloha Isle in Adventureland with the Hei Hei Cone. This blue cone is filled with a layer of pineapple Dole Whip and then a layer of raspberry soft serve. To complete the look there are candy eyes and a sour candy “comb” on top. Next “UP!” is the Adventure is Out There cone available at Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies in Tomorrowland. Wilderness explores will love this blue cone filled with mango Dole Whip and topped with chocolate balloons garnish. If you are more of a Rapunzel fan then the Lost Princess Cone available at Storybook Treats in Fantasyland is the cone for you. This purple cone filled with lemon soft serve is perfect on those warm days. The beautiful edible flowers topping the lemon soft serve make for both a gorgeous and delicious treat.
