MAGICBAND+
If you have visited the parks before, you are familiar with the regular MagicBands that allow you to get into your hotel room with just one tap, make purchases at any retail location, pay for your meals and take advantage of DisneyPhotoPass service. Well now with MagicBand+ the magic will get better!
Remember the adorable 50th anniversary statues around the Walt Disney World Resort? Well now, you will be able to bring them to life and interact with them using your MagicBand+!
You can also add to the magic by using your Play Disney Parks mobile app and keep track of the statues you’ve found. The more you find, the more features you can unlock with digital achievements and an augmented reality feature that will give you a glimpse into your favorite character’s worlds. Cool right?
Join the Star Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunters experience at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge! Your MagicBand+ will be your guide vibrating and lighting up to show if you’re in the right path, you can also use the augmented reality thermal viewer in the Play Disney Parks mobile app which reveals what’s behind locked door in the Black Spire Outpost. Once you complete your mission you will get rewarded with galactic credits! Sounds like so much fun!
At night your MagicBand+ will light up and complement the magic in the sky making the whole experience more interactive!
MagicBand+ will go on sale this summer with a discounted price for Disney Resort hotel guests and Walt Disney World annual passholders. Your regular magicband will still work will all the features like room key, park ticket, and more.
