New Information for Illuminations Replacement at Epcot

We were all understandably saddened to hear earlier in the year that we would be losing Illuminations. The show entertained guests for 20 years nightly at Epcot. However, we’ve gotten some new information regarding the new replacement that is sure to get you excited about the changed coming. Change is good, and from what we are gathering…this change is going to be fantastic!

The new show is set to be a spectacular the likes of which we have never seen. The storyline should melt hearts as the premise displays and celebrates the relationship music and its connecting power across the globe! Complete with amazing, new technologies including advanced pyrotechnics and projections, the will maintain the overall theme of Epcot…diverse unity! As with most nighttime spectaculars…we can expect a moving experience the likes of Happily Ever After and Fantasmic combined.

Although the new show is not scheduled to being until 2020, Disney parks have you covered. “Epcot Forever” will make its debut beginning the Fall of 2019. This show is act as a temporary buffer between Illuminations and the final product that will move in sometime in 2020. Again, keeping to the theme of the park, this show will tell us the story of Epcot. With Imagineering insight, featuring classic attractions, and featuring music found all over the World Showcase, this temporary nighttime show is sure to please! This show will begin with “one little spark” and makes its way through the history of Epcot while climaxing into an astonishing fireworks show.

So, while we wait not-so-patiently for the promised “show of a lifetime,” we are excited to check out the temporary replacement beginning in Fall of 2019. With new artist renderings of what we can expect from both the temporary and permanent shows…the excitement is building. It’s sure to reach a boiling point and end in tears as we watch this amazing Imagineering feat in 2020.
