The Most Magical Place on Earth is the Perfect Place for an Amazing Date Night
Walt Disney World is known as the ‘Most Magical Place on Earth’ for a reason-the expansive Central Florida complex has been delighting guests of all ages for over 50 years. The extensive array of dining, shopping, attraction, and entertainment offerings ensures guests of all ages can enjoy a magical vacation, which can include an adults-only date night! I am going to share my personal recommendations for dinner, drinks, and entertainment so you can get started on planning your next date night at Walt Disney World.

Citricos
Let’s start off with planning dinner, since snagging that Advanced Dining Reservation at 60 days out is going to be a crucial factor in planning a date night. The first recommendation I have is Citricos, located at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. This Signature Dining Location features theming inspired by the movie Mary Poppins Returns and provides amazing views of the Grand Floridian Resort.
Guests are asked to dress in clothing that is in good repair and appropriate for a more upscale location, so this is a great spot to dress up a bit for your date night. The menu here at Citrcos is AMAZING, with my favorite dinner item being the 12-oz Oak-Grilled New York Strip which is served with potato puree, broccolini, a cipollini jam, and bordelaise. The Guava Barbecued Short Ribs are also a crowd favorite, as is the impressive array of specialty cocktails, wine, and other adult beverages Citricos offers.
Morimoto Asia
For a slightly different twist on dinner, I recommend you head over to Disney Springs and check out Morimoto Asia. This upscale Pan-Asian restaurant serves up both food and decor that will start your date night off with a bang. The restaurant is visually stunning, featuring high ceilings, beautiful light fixtures, and elegant yet modern touches throughout the restaurant.
My go-to items for dinner here include the Spicy Tuna roll, Spicy Yellowtail roll, and Spicy Salmon roll; the Mongolian Filet Mignon (which is served with wok sautéed scallion, enoki mushroom, and a sweet Szechuan sauce poured table side), and the half-rack Morimoto Spare Ribs (which are served with a hoisin sweet chili glaze) are also items on the must-try list. Morimoto Asia also offers an extensive selection of cocktails and wines to pair with your dinner.
AbracadaBar
After your dinner plans are set, your next step is planning a place to stop for some after-dinner drinks. My first recommendation is the AbracadaBar, located at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort. This intimate cocktail lounge features theming that is inspired by the Golden Age of Magic, and a unique drink menu that is as interesting to explore as it is delicious to enjoy.
My top recommendations here include the Hoodunit’s Punch (comprised of Captain Morgan’s Spiced Rum, Orange Juice, Pineapple Juice, and Coconut) and the Magic Mirror (comprised of Bacardi Rum, Soda Water, Mango Syrup, Sprite®, and Lime Juice). When heading over to the AbracdaBar, be sure to plan enough time to relax and enjoy the lounges theming!
Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar
My second recommendation for after-dinner drinks is for those seeking a spot that is a little less intimate and a little more adventurous-Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar, located at Disney Springs. The theming here is on point (Jock Lindsey, Indiana Jones’s pilot from Raiders of the Lost Ark, has turned his airplane hangar into a bar), drinks can be enjoyed indoors or on the patio that overlooks the water (bonus: the outdoor seating also overlooks the stage at Waterside Park), and the drink offerings include specialty cocktails, a selection of beer and draft beers, and both red and white wines.
Live Music at Disney Springs
No date night would be complete without plans for a night on the town, and there is perhaps no better place for this than an evening strolling around Disney Springs. The AdventHealth Waterside Stage in the Marketplace features live music in an outdoor al fresco setting, with a rotating array of local and regional acts appearing each night. You can also head on over to the Waterside Park by Jock Lindsey’s which features live bands and DJs each evening. You can check out the entertainment schedule at Disney Springs here.
Jellyrolls
Jellyrolls over at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort is a piano bar that should be seriously considered for your date night. Come armed with your favorite requests to hand over to the dueling piano players, but be sure to plan on getting here fairly early as the venue fills up fast (note, there is an admission fee to enter Jellyrolls). Jellyrolls boasts a full bar that serves specialty drinks, and cocktails, as well as an array of wine, beer, and hard seltzer.
