We enjoyed a round at Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course, and have the details on the newly re-opened holes 15 through 18.
Golf enthusiasts, rejoice! Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course has reopened the last 4 holes on the course, once again resuming full 18 hole operations. Now boasting re-imagined holes 15 through 18, golfers can tee off for a round with fresh greens and temporary tee boxes on holes 15 through 18. We were recently able to get out for a round, and have our review ready for you!

Our round at Magnolia once again started with a stop in the well-stocked pro shop and then practice on both the driving range and putting green. A bucket of range balls is included in your course rate, and the practice green is incredibly well maintained. Magnolia Golf Course was the home of the Walt Disney World Classic PGA Tournament from 1971 through 2012, and it is always fun to look at the championship banners that adorn the practice putting green and Champions podium at the course.
Our round started on hole 10, allowing us to experience the newly imagined holes during our ‘front’ 9. One of the most exciting updates with thew newly imagined holes is the introduction of brand new greens. These greens are not only visually stunning but also come with challenging undulations that will test the skills of even the most seasoned golfers. With slopes and breaks that demand precision putting, your short game will be put to the test on these greens!
To accommodate ongoing road construction in the area, holes 15 through 18 have been creatively adapted with temporary tee boxes. This alteration has temporarily reduced the course from a par 72 to a par 70, making it a shorter yet no less thrilling challenge for golfers. Hole 17, in particular, offers a unique experience as it plays from the 18th tee box, creating a memorable par 3 that allows you to hit back towards the 17th tee via a very short but challenging shot. We found the temporary tee boxes to be in great shape, and in typical Disney Golf fashion in better shape than some other permanent tee boxes I have played from at other courses!
Disney’s commitment to delivering exceptional golfing experiences was evident throughout our round. The newly revamped holes come with informative and detailed signs that guide you along your journey, and player assistants are on hand to provide direction and assistance, ensuring your round at Magnolia Golf Course is as enjoyable as it is challenging. The new holes are also joined by brand new cart paths, providing an elevated feel to the final four holes.
While the temporary tee boxes are currently in place, they are slated to remain until around mid-year 2024 due to ongoing road construction in the vicinity. This means you have ample time to test your skills and enjoy the unique challenges presented by these temporary configurations while also enjoying a 15% discount on your round!
It is evident the newly revamped holes will provide an amazing experience once fully opened. The layout is challenging from tee to green, and provide a nice new twist on this classic golf course! The above drive by shows the 16th hole as we drove from the 15th green to the temporary teeing ground for hole 16.
Playing a round at Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course is always an exciting and fun day on the course. With new greens that test your putting prowess and temporary tee boxes adding a unique twist, this iconic course promises a golfing adventure like no other. So, gather your golfing buddies and tee off at Magnolia Golf Course to experience the perfect blend of magic and challenge that Disney is renowned for.
