Fasten your seatbelts and get ready for takeoff! Disney’s fan favorite attraction Soarin has been “flying” guests all over the world over the years for unforgettable adventures! And in California at Disney California Adventure, the Park features a limited time special Soarin’ Over California ride that takes guests on a journey through San Francisco, Yosemite National Park, Napa Valley, Lake Tahoe, Palm Springs, San Diego harbor, and more iconic locations throughout the state.

In celebration of the limited-time return of Soarin’ Over California,now open during the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival, select guests at Disney California Adventure park were in for quite a surprise. While waiting in line for their turn to ride Soarin, they were surprised by the appearance of their very own Chief Flight Attendant, Patrick Warburton!

For over two decades, Patrick Warburton has been welcoming guests to the Soarin’ attractions at Disney California Adventure park in California and EPCOT in Florida with his iconic “important safety tips” in a pre-recorded safety video before their flight. However, this time, he decided to conduct his final safety check in person, surprising guests before they embarked on a journey through picturesque California locations. These included Yosemite National Park, Napa Valley, Lake Tahoe, Palm Springs, San Diego harbor, Malibu at dusk, and the vibrant lights of downtown Los Angeles, culminating in a triumphant flight over Disneyland park.

“It’s just magical to see how beloved Soarin’ Over California still is after all of these years,” Patrick shared. “I can remember my first trip to Disneyland at the age of five and I continue to be a huge Disney fan, so to be part of a Disney attraction that has lasted this long has just been such a sweet and wonderful thing for me.”

“Getting to surprise guests today was super fun, and it’s great to see the impact that this safety intro has made for the past 23 years and how people still love it. It was such a blast getting to be the Chief Flight Attendant for Soarin’ Over California once again!” Such a fun day at Disney California Adventure Park!
