Disney’s Vero Beach Resort

Located in Vero Beach, Florida, Disney’s Vero Beach Resort is an elegant old-fashioned hideaway just 2 hours southeast of Disney World. Relax on warm sand and play in the sparkling blue waters at the resort. The lodgings are spacious and provide the comfort of home with an idyllic beach practically at your doorstep.

Along with being right on the beach, the resort features a 163-foot Pirate’s Plunge waterslide and a pirate-themed wet play area. Other activities at the resort include a 9-hole miniature golf course, basketball, volleyball, bocce ball, scavenger hunts, bingo, archery and more! You can also rent bicycles, wave runners, boogie boards, kayaks and other water sports gear. If fishing is more your thing, you can fish at the resort’s private lake.

Rooms at the resort range from deluxe studio rooms that sleep up to 4 guests to 2-bedroom villas that sleep up to 9 guests. Parking at the resort is complimentary.

There is a great restaurant on site; Wind & Waves Grill serves breakfast and dinner. Wind & Waves Market is a quick service location where you can grab food to-go. The Green Cabin Room and Wind & Waves Bar both offer bar service.

The resort also shares space with the nesting grounds of the Loggerhead Sea Turtle. In keeping with Walt Disney’s conservation legacy, the beachfront resort was specifically designed to create minimal impact on the turtles’ nesting patterns.

Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort

Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort is located on the picturesque coast of South Carolina, only 5 hours from Disney World. This elegant, relaxing home-away-from-home—fashioned after a 1940s hunting and fishing lodge—combines local charm and simple pleasures with outdoor fun for the entire family. The resort features multi-roomed villas and many recreational activities, including 12 miles of heavenly beaches.

Besides playing in the water at the beach, guests can experience the wraparound Water Tower Slide at the Big Dipper 72,000-gallon heated pool and spa. Smaller “tadpole” swimmers can frolic with the water-spitting frogs and whimsical features at the Little Dipper Pool.

Other recreation includes Disney’s Beach House activity programs for kids and teens, guided nature walks, campfires, tennis, bikes & other recreational rentals, and the Live Oak Lodge (pool table, fireplace, etc). Guests can also experience the Dolphin and Nature Discovery. Cruise open waters and meet dolphins that guides know by name on this fun-filled 1½-hour boat ride on Broad Creek.

Rooms at the resort range from deluxe studio rooms that sleep up to 4 guests to 2-bedroom villas that sleep up to 9 guests. Parking at the resort is complimentary.

Take advantage of quick service dining locations at the resort. Signals is open for lunch and seasonally. Tide Me Over is a great place for snacks.
