Since the phased reopening of Walt Disney World Resort started, some attractions and experiences have been suspended. Large parades, nighttime shows, and in-person character meets were among those experiences. It should come as no surprise that character dining has also been modified. However, character dining is still offered in some select locations! Let’s explore what character dining options are currently available at Disney World.
Garden Grill Restaurant- Located in The Land pavilion at EPCOT, this character experience features Chip n’ Dale! What makes this restaurant even more special is that it actually slowly rotates. This location is open for lunch and dinner and serves up entrees such as sliced turkey with gravy! Another fun fact about Garden Grill is that some of the vegetables they serve there were grown right in the Living with the Land Greenhouses!
Hollywood & Vine- Located at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and currently open for lunch and dinner. Join Minnie and her friends for a different party every season. Here is the list of events-
- Minnie’s Holiday Dine- November 6, 2020- January 4, 2021
- Silver Screen Dine- January 5, 2020-March 2021
- Springtime Dine- March 2021- June 2021
- Summertime Dine- June 2021- September 2021
Topolinos Terrace, Flavors of the Riviera- Located inside Disney’s Riviera Resort, guests will see Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy while dining here! This is a very special experience, as it’s located on a rooftop and the characters are all dressed in special outfits unique to this location. This experience is available for breakfast, and there is a prix fixe menu with a large variety of options.
Chef Mickey’s- This character dining location is located inside Disney’s Contemporary Resort. This restaurant is usually a buffet but is currently serving meals family-style. Don’t worry- it’s still all you care to eat! Mickey and friends make surprise appearances, and each table gets a keepsake autograph card.
Please keep in mind that all character dining experiences require advanced reservations and masks must be worn. The experience may be different, but it will still be magical!
