Tips on Where You Can Watch the Super Bowl at Disney World

Super Bowl Disney World

The Big Game is almost here!  Super Bowl Sunday is a big deal in my house, especially when our favorite team is playing.  Not everyone plans their vacation around a football game, so what do you do if you happen to be at Disney World on game day?  No worries! Here are some great options and ideas of where you can watch the Super Bowl while at Disney.

ESPN Club

With a theater-sized TV in the main dining room and over 100 TV’s throughout the restaurant, ESPN Club is a fantastic venue to take in the Big Game.  If you like a rowdy atmosphere to cheer on your team then this is the place.  The ESPN Club is also a great choice if you would like to spend some time at Epcot in the morning and then use the International Gateway for a quick walk over the Boardwalk where the restaurant is located.  ESPN Club is a very popular choice to watch games and for Super Bowl Sunday the restaurant will not have open seating, even at the bar.  Reservations need to be made in advance for this special event by calling 407-WDW-DINE.  There are two event categories available, “Super Bowl Sidelines” and “Super Bowl Central”.  Both are $100/person plus tax and gratuity.  This is a mandatory minimum that will go towards your total drinks, food, and merchandise ordered.  You would pay any additional if your final bill is above that $100.  As of the writing of this article, there were still openings available but they will go fast.

Splitsville

If you want a fun place that doesn’t require a $100 minimum, then head over to Splitsville in Disney Springs.  A lot of people think of Splitsville as just a bowling alley, but it has fantastic food, including sushi.  Combine the food, sports bar vibe and plenty of televisions, and you have a winner.  Splitsville will be a popular venue for the Super Bowl, so if you aren’t able to book an Advanced Dining Reservation, you will want to head over there early.

The BOATHOUSE

Another place in Disney Springs that you should consider as an option for the Big Game, is the BOATHOUSE.  The restaurant won’t be as obvious or popular a choice as Splitsville or ESPN Club and almost always has walk-in availability. There are large televisions hanging over the bar that would make for great viewing of the game.

Martha’s Vineyard or Crew’s Cup Lounges

A lot of New Englanders who are Patriot’s fans like to take in the Big Game at one of these two lounges because of the theming of the resorts that house them.  It could be fun to cheer on your team with like-minded fans or head there to bond with fellow Rams fans.  Both are intimate venues that lend themselves to more of the vibe of watching the game at a friend’s place or with family. You will need to arrive very early and plant yourself to get a good seat for the game.

Territory Lounge – Wilderness Lodge

Many of the resort hotels or lounges will be showing the Super Bowl and there is a good chance that you can catch the game with fellow fans without having to even leave your resort.

Your Resort Room

I tend to get very intense while watching the Super Bowl if my team is playing.  I am really focused on the game and most times I prefer to watch it in the company of only my husband.  If you are anything like me, then you might want to watch the game in the comfort and privacy of your own resort room.  Make it a fun day and grab some snacks from the food court or gift shop at your resort.

Like I said. No Worries! If you find yourself at Disney World for Super Bowl Sunday there are plenty of places to take in the game no matter how you prefer to watch.  Check with the concierge desk at your resort for the most up to date times and locations.
