Disney recently announced that beginning January 1, 2022, Disney’s Magical Express will no longer be operating. Disney’s Magical Express is Walt Disney World’s complimentary transportation from the Orlando airport to Walt Disney World Resort hotels. Once that feature ends next year, what are our options for getting from the airport to Walt Disney World?
Ride Share
All transportation network companies like Uber and lift can pick up passengers from the Orlando airport. The pick-up location is at the ends of the Arrivals curb (Level 2). Taxis are also available in the center of the Arrivals Level (Level 2). Ride share companies can drop guests off at the front of their Disney hotel.
Related-Two big changes are coming soon to Walt Disney World
Rental Car
If you want to have access to other Orlando attractions besides Walt Disney World, you might want to rent a car. There are many options for renting a vehicle at the airport. You would then be able to drive yourself to your Disney World hotel and/or any other locations you want to visit. Keep in mind, you will have to pay to park at the Disney World hotels. You can then use Disney’s transportation to get to the theme parks or drive yourself. If you drive yourself, you will not have to pay to park at the theme parks.
Luxury Vehicle
Mears is no longer offering shuttle vans to and from the Orlando airport. However, you can book a luxury vehicle to pick you up. Mears isn’t the only company to offer this service. There are multiple companies like Happy Limo, Orlando Chauffeured Services, and Ultimate Town Car. Do your research and find the best fit for your trip.

Why don’t they keep it and charge a fee
I’m sure most people would be happy to pay for the amazing Service the driver and the bus provides
I am more than sad. One of the things I love about Disney is that I don’t have to plan or think about much in advance. They take me to the resort and my luggage shows up and then I get a little band that allows me to go anywhere and buy anything. The ME was always the beginning of the magic.
To say nothing of how disastrous the parking will be when the tons of families decide to rent a car or drive with their car. What are they thinking?
