It was a very exciting weekend in the world of Disney! With Cast Member and Annual Passholder Previews out of the way, Walt Disney World Resort opened the Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom to guests! With the reopening of the parks, we all got to see the new safety measures and guidelines in full operation. With the suspension of parades and in-person character meet and greets, we were left wondering how we would still see our favorite Disney characters. The answer? New character cavalcades! So let’s say you’re already bummed that you’ll be missing the Festival of Fantasy parade at Magic Kingdom, then, some lovely Florida rain starts to make its way down. Have no fear! The amazing rainy day cavalcade will brighten up even the greatest of days! What exactly is a rainy day cavalcade? When the rain starts to come down, some of our favorite Disney characters suit up in bright-colored rain gear and hit the street dancing for a very special experience!
No need to let a little precipitation get you down! The rainy day cavalcade will put a smile on your face! Instead of feeling down about the turn in the weather, you’ll be so happy you were able to experience such a unique and fun character cavalcade. You’ll be singing in the rain right along with your favorite characters! Cast Members, also dressed up in rain gear, accompany the characters as they make their way down Main Street.
Special vehicles can be seen transporting the characters safely down Main Street. Disney always has a little extra pixie dust up their sleeves, and rainy days are no exception! It’s the little, memorable things Disney does to enhance guest experiences that keep us constantly coming back for more! What could be a damper in your day is turned into a fun memory with a little touch of Disney magic! So next time you are visiting Disney’s Magic Kingdom, don’t be scared to do your rain dance!
