Where Can You Buy Sundries at WDW? 1

Packing for vacation is HARD – don’t you think? As the “planner” in my family, I generally take charge of things like making lists and packing and making sure everyone has everything they need when we go away – and it is a lot of work! Myself, the kids, the snacks, the husband – there’s a lot to remember – and sometimes, I forget something. I am human after all – it happens, and I am sure it has happened to you too. Well – fear not, if you are headed to Walt Disney World for your next vacation (which you definitely SHOULD – for MANY reasons) – you don’t have to worry if you forget to bring something – WDW’s got you covered. Read on for info on where you can buy sundries at WDW:

(Oh – and if you’re like me and don’t exactly know what a sundry is, here’s a clue – “miscellaneous objects too small or unimportant to mention individually” – in this case, we use the term to refer to smaller items like toiletries, first aid items, health & beauty products, etc)

Resort Gift Shops: Every WDW Resort Hotel has at least one (many have more) gift shop, and in addition to snagging some fresh Mickey Ears, this will also be the best place to find your “must have” items, while they don’t have it all and might not offer your favorite brand, they DO have a ton of items, here’s a rundown of some of the most commonly needed/purchased ones:
Toothpaste
Tylenol/Advil
NyQuil/various cold/sinus medications
Sunscreen
Bug Spray
Baby Care Items: Bottles, wipes, diapers, pacifiers,
Deodorant
Razors
Shampoo/Conditioners
Feminine Hygiene Products
Various soaps/body washes
Food – All resorts have a small selection of items like bread, peanut butter, canned goods, and baby formula & baby food. DVC (Disney Vacation Club) Resorts offer a bit more of these items as they have more suites/villas that have kitchens, but all Resorts have a few necessities on hand

At The WDW Theme Parks: If you find yourself in need of some personal care or health items while touring the Parks, you can find a small selection at most of the larger gift shops (sunscreen, etc), and when it comes to items like basic first aid – I recommend you ask a Cast Member and they can lead you to the closest place within the Park where you can get assistance or purchase the needed items

*PLEASE NOTE – The cost of these personal care items is much higher at WDW than at a regular pharmacy or grocery store. While it’s normally worth it to be able to get the items NOW – it is something to consider when hunting on WDW property for those items you forgot to pack

BOTTOM LINE – If you don’t see something at your WDW Resort or at the Parks – ASK! The Cast Members are very knowledgeable & helpful – and if they can’t get you what you need they can find the person who can!

Amazon: You can order things via Amazon Prime and have them shipped right to your Disney Resort – including a wide range of groceries and personal items – more on how that works Here

Outside The Parks: You can easily place a grocery pickup order ahead of time at one of the Wal-Mart stores nearby, and you can take an Uber there, or to any other closeby store or drugstore to procure your necessary items

While the term “sundry” may technically mean “small unimportant objects” – as we all know, forgetting even one of these items can really impact your vacation – whether it be sunscreen for the kids or conditioner for you – so I know I personally am grateful to Disney for having a wide array of products available right on site, and for delivery as well

Oh, and learn from my mistakes – pack smart, and be sure you include these Top 5 must pack items in your Disney Suitcase!
