Early morning breakfast inside the Magic Kingdom is something every visitor to Walt Disney World should experience. There is something extra magical about being allowed inside the park before rope drop and to stroll down Main Street on your way to The Crystal Palace or Cinderella’s Royal Table. Take a moment to breath it in, take some pictures and then get ready to fuel up with a Disney breakfast. And remember, calories do not count in Walt Disney World! While only 3 of the following eateries accept reservations, there are plenty of other stops to indulge your early morning appetite.
Main Street Bakery: Oh my goodness, the smell of fresh-baked goodies and Starbucks coffee lure you down Main Street in to the Main Street Bakery. This is a must stop for a lot of visitors ready to fuel up for a big day in the Magic Kingdom. All of your Starbucks favorites can be found here along with smoothies and some delicious Disney sweets!
Cinderella’s Royal Table: Join Cinderella and her royal princess friends in the beautiful banquet hall inside Cinderella castle. Choose from delicious options like caramel apple stuffed French toast, lobster and crab crepes, and a kids cheese frittata. Princesses like Snow White, Aurora and Jasmine will visit with your little princes and princesses beneath the stoned archways and royal banners while you look out over Fantasyland. Advanced reservations are required and please note this restaurant uses 2 dining credits from your Plus and Deluxe Dining Plans.
Crystal Palace: The gang from the 100 Acre Wood welcomes you to this gorgeous setting inspired by Victorian Greenhouses of the 1800’s. Enjoy a Tiggerific breakfast buffet while playing with Winnie-The- Pooh, Piglet and Eyeore on a parade around the restaurant. Pastries, cereal, waffles, pancakes and an omelette station are just a few of the offerings you will find at the Crystal Palace. This is a must do for my family on every trip! We love getting into the park before rope drop and enjoying the peaceful views of the castle and Main Street before the crowds kick in. This is another advanced reservation restaurant so plan ahead for your visit with Tigger and Pooh!
Gaston’s Pub: The smell of warm gooey cinnamon rolls pulls you in to Gaston’s Pub in the heart of the new Fantasyland. Located in between Be Our Guest and Under The Sea, this walk up counter service serves chocolate croissants, cinnamon rolls, and of course Le Fou’s Brew; frozen apple juice topped with toasted marshmallow and served in an adorable take home ‘mug’ . Grab some brew, take a seat in Gaston’s Chair and then head outside to meet with Gaston.
Be Our Guest: Although still considered to be in a ‘testing’ phase for reservations, many lucky visitors have been able to enjoy breakfast inside the Beast’s castle. This table service meal offers a limited menu including eggs florentine, an open face bacon and egg sandwich, and a decadent croissant doughnut covered in banana-caramel sauce and chocolate ganache. YUMMY. Kids can enjoy French toast or crepes. Advanced reservations are highly recommended. Get in while you can because there is not guarantee that they will continue to serve breakfast in the future!
Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies: Located in Tomorrowland, this quick stop offers muffins, fresh whole fruit and a variety of smoothies.
Cheshire Café: Grab some early madness at the Cheshire Café across from the Mad Tea Party in Fantasyland. Muffins, fruit, cereal and coffee will help you jumpstart your day. (just wait a little while after eating before jumping on the Tea Cups!)
Finally one of Chip’s favorites is the Nutella Waffle Sandwich from Sleep Hollow Refreshments. Sleepy Hollow offers a variety of sweet treats and breakfast options served throughout the day. Seating is outdoors and overlooks the iconic Cinderella Castle. Drop by here if you are looking for a quick and portable treat you can carry with you.
I like to add in an ‘honorable mention’ category to these article! They are usually not a healthy option for breakfast and this one is no different! As you enter Main Street and are busy taking pictures and staring in awe at Cinderella Castle you may walk right past the entrance to Main Street Confectionary. Do not pass this up! OK, so maybe a candy store is not the first place you would think of for breakfast but the do have the most amazing caramel apples and a ton of delicious, mouth-watering goodies to grab on the go! I will say it again, calories do not count in Walt Disney World, so grab a box of S’more Squares (my family’s favorite) and let the sugar carry you through your morning!
