If you are planning a vacation to Walt Disney World Resort you’ve probably heard of all the benefits and advantages of staying “on property” at a Disney Hotel. This is where things can get overwhelming, as the list of possible accommodations seems endless and extensive. The choice becomes more challenging for those traveling with a larger party of 5 or more, as most standard resort rooms only sleep up to 4 (plus a small child in a crib). Large families can try to make do with standard rooms by requesting adjoining rooms, but Disney does not guarantee that these requests will be fulfilled. Luckily for larger families, Walt Disney World Resort offers a number of Hotels that can comfortably sleep families of 5 or more and include all the coveted Disney extras.
Value Resorts- Value Resorts are the most budget-friendly hotels on Disney property and offer two options for larger families.
- Disney’s All-Star Music Family Suites- Sleeps up to 6 guests and includes a master bedroom with a queen bed, 1 full-size sofa pullout bed, a convertible twin ottoman, and convertible twin chair. The suite also comes equipped with a full kitchenette and two separate bathrooms.
- Disney’s Art of Animation Family Suites- Sleeps up to 6 guests and includes a master bedroom with a queen bed, 1 full-size pullout sofa bed, and 1 dining room table that converts to a double bed. Also included is a full kitchenette and two separate bathrooms.
Moderate Resorts- Moderate Resorts are the mid-tier option for Disney Resort Hotels and have a few more amenities than the value options. There are 3 Moderate Resorts that can accommodate larger parties.
- Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside (Alligator Bayou section)- sleeps up to 5 guests and includes 2 queen beds and one pull-down twin bed (meant for a young child).
- Disney’s Coronado Springs Suites- sleeps up to 6 (suites sleep 4-6 depending on which type of suite is selected). The Junior Suites at Coronado Springs include 2 queen beds and 1 queen sleeper sofa. The Casitas are one-bedroom suites that also include 2 queen beds and 1 queen sleeper sofa. Gran Destino Tower at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort also boasts 2 luxurious Presidential Suites, The Alcazar and Castillo Suites. These suites are located on the 15th floor, and offer 1,875 sq feet of living space! These suites are truly fit for royalty and come equipped with a master bedroom featuring a king-size bed and a second bedroom featuring 2 queen beds.
- The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort- sleeps up to 6 guests and includes 1 full bed, 1 bunk bed, 1 murphy pull-down bed, a full kitchen, and 1 bathroom.
Deluxe Resorts- Deluxe Resorts offer the most amenities and are the most luxurious of any Disney Resort Hotel category. There are multiple options for larger families among Deluxe Disney Resort Hotels.

If your traveling party is still in need of more room, Disney Deluxe Villas can also be reserved. These deluxe villas often come with separate bedrooms, full kitchens, and multiple bathrooms. Villas are attached to Deluxe Resorts and offer all of the amenities of the Deluxe Resorts they are attached to. Since these villas are a part of the Disney Vacation Club (DVC) properties, guests can choose to rent directly through DVC owners or book through Disney.
As you can see, Disney offers extensive choices at multiple price points for families of all sizes!
