Don’t get me wrong the other parks are amazing and will always be dear to my heart, but if you haven’t experienced the Walt Disney World Water Parks you must!! Especially during Spring Break.
Not sure what the water parks are? I will tell you! Walt Disney World has two water parks; Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. I know what you are probably thinking, “What is so different about the Walt Disney World Water Parks than my local water parks?” I hear you, but y’all, this is Disney! Do we really need to ask this question? Of course we do, otherwise I wouldn’t be able to tell you all about what you are missing by not going to these parks! So here we go, here are reasons why the Walt Disney Water Parks are your best spring break option for 2019!
Let’s start with the deals! For the first time ever, Disney has created the Splash Pack! The splash pack is a value bundle of food, beverages, and collectible souvenirs for Walt Disney World water parks guests visiting from March 26th through May 4th. The splash pack costs $44.00 per person and includes select food entrees and dessert options, a refillable Disney Water Park mug AND a souvenir towel for guests to take home with them! Guests will be able to choose between Mickey Mouse, Lilo and Stitch, Finding Nemo or Toy Story for their towel choice. The splash pack is a 20% savings off what food and merchandise would cost if purchased individually. Guests can purchase this savings bundle at Singapore Sal’s at Typhoon Lagoon or Beach Haus at Blizzard Beach.
The Food! Did you know that Walt Disney World Water Parks are becoming up-and-coming dining destinations? Well I would hope so with the Disney name! Each park has its own food options, but both are equally appealing. Let’s start with Typhoon Lagoon. At this water park guests can purchase a flight of guacamole! The guacamole flight comes with vegetables, pineapple bacon, and shrimp varieties. Guacamole not your thing? Try the jerk chicken rice bowl or the plant-based bratwurst sandwich. Plus, you can pair your meal with the Blue typhoon colada or a tropical storm!
At Blizzard Beach you will mostly find comfort food such as the epic burger topped with cheddar cheese and sweet and smoky ham-jam on a pretzel bun, served with coleslaw and steak fries. Guests can also choose the veggie rice bowls, milkshakes or a slice of chocolate-dipped key lime pie!
Lastly, what would the Water Parks be without the attractions?! There is something for everyone at both water parks. Guests who enjoy more of a thrill can go on the Crush ‘n’ Gusher at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon or the Downhill Double Dipper at Disney’s Blizzard Beach. For a more leisurely ride, guests can enjoy Castaway Creek at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon or Cross Country Creek at Disney’s Blizzard Beach.
Hopefully these are enough reason to visit these two Walt Disney World water parks! As you probably already know, Disney goes above and beyond in their themes. When you visit these parks you will definitely not feel as if you just walked into another water park. You will feel as if you have entered a different world!
