If you love a good theme, inventive dishes, and good food – it should take you no convincing to head over to Satu’li Canteen. For Disney diehards and avid Avatar fans, Satu’li Canteen is most likely on their favorites list – but for those making their way to Animal Kingdom for the first time or in a long time, we are here to try and convince you why Satu’li Canteen is one of the best restaurants to dine at!
Where do I begin? Animal Kingdom can be hot – especially in the Florida heat. That may go without saying, but it’s important to keep that in mind when thinking about how you want to fuel your body to get through the hot and exhausting day. Satu’li Canteen has some fantastic bowls that have a variety of veggies, grains, and proteins to nourish your body and give you the energy you deserve! They also have Cheeseburger Steamed Pods aka Cheeseburger Bao Buns that are absolutely delicious and a fun twist on a tasty classic. The textures and tastes here are unlike anything you’ll get at similar restaurants which is why we want to make sure that you don’t pass it up!
There are often fun specialties so make sure you check their menu beforehand to plan your meals accordingly. Plant-based fans – fear not! Like many Disney dining destinations, there are plant-based and vegetarian options here – same with allergy-friendly options as well! If you crave something a bit sweeter, this restaurant has been known for its Blueberry Cream Cheese Mousse with Passion Fruit Curd which is light, sweet, and the perfect treat to end your meal. Look out for the Metkayina Mousse if you’d like something a bit more chocolaty.
The beverages here can be boozy or not – depending on your mood for the day. There are unique Pandora-themed cocktails to enjoy on the menu so if you love a theme, just know it doesn’t end with the food.
This area is located in the heart of Pandora, so make sure you add it to your list of fantastic places to feast when you’re at Animal Kingdom. Quick service is available here so you can bypass the line – just make sure you keep your eye out for a table to grab because busy hours can be… well… busy! Luckily the dining area is vast and includes indoor and outdoor seating. We can’t recommend Satu’li Canteen enough and we hope you find something for everyone in your group!
