Face Painting – If you have a small child then you know that no visit to a Disney theme park would be complete without stopping for face painting at least once.  A new face painting stall has opened up at Pixar Pier specializing in Pixar-themed designs including a mask inspired by the Incredibles, the little green aliens from Toy Story, your favorite characters from Finding Dory or the iconic balloons from the iconic Pixar film Up. Prices vary depending on designs but do come with free touch-ups so kids can keep their wearable works of art looking fresh throughout the day.  For a  closer look at the face painting area at Pixar Pier check out this article.

Lamplight Lounge

Lamplight Lounge – Though we are sad to bid the coveted Cove Bar adieu, we are mighty excited about the new eats on offer at the newly opening Lamplight Lounge.  Guests opting for this sit-down restaurant will get to choose from a tantalizing array of entrees and appetizers including everything from sushi and burgers to deviled eggs, short ribs, delicious salads and even warm donuts with dipping sauce for dessert.  For a closer look at the menu check out this article.

Emotional Whirlwind – Disney has been promising a new Inside Out-themed attraction and this week they delivered a few more details on the ride that will open in Inside Out Headquarters on the Pier’s West End.  The name of the new attraction is Emotional Whirlwind.  This family-friendly attraction is sure to delight kids and the kids at heart.  Readers are encouraged to keep following along with Disney Addicts and our sister site Chip and Co. for the latest info regarding this exciting new project!

Classic World of Color Re-opens

World of Color – Though Disneyland was hoping to re-introduce it’s dazzling nighttime water pageant World of Color the same time Pixar Pier opened, it looks as of going to print that guests will have to wait a bit longer before seeing this much-loved nighttime show. Disney announced earlier this week that the show won’t be returning just yet.  Upcoming shows have been officially removed from the calendar.  Reports point to damages to the production’s platform that need to be repaired.  Though no official opening date has been announced, word on the street is that it may not be until after the Summer months.  We promise to keep you posted.

As you can see it’s been a busy week for Pixar Pier news and this shows no signs of slowing. Keep following along with Disney Addicts for a closer look at this incredible new addition to Disney California Adventure and start planning your next Disneyland getaway.
