The Disney brand is synonymous with quality and excellent service. I had been a long-time Disney World super fan when my family decided to take our first Disney Cruise 12 years ago. We were instantly hooked on the Disney Cruise style of vacationing! I’ve got 10 reasons why Disney Cruise Line will become your family’s new favorite vacation.
1. The Ships
The Disney Cruise Ships are absolutely stunning. The decor is nautical and classy, with hidden Disney touches throughout. They have been thoughtfully designed with families in mind, from the staterooms to the pool deck, you are sure to be impressed with the beauty and design.
2. The Staff
Disney is known for hiring only the best of the best. The cast members aboard the Disney Cruise ships are all top notch. From your stateroom host to your dining room server team, you are sure to be impressed by the level of care you receive on your voyage.
Cruises, in general, are known for an abundance of food. Disney Cruises are no exception to that rule, but the quality and variety are really fantastic. Where else can you get Mickey ice cream bars delivered via room service included in your fare? There is sure to be something for every one in your family to enjoy, and they also do an amazing job with food allergies and other dietary concerns.
4. Kids’ Clubs
Disney Cruise Line wins awards year after year for being the best cruise line for families, and the immersive kids’ clubs are a big part of the reason why! Offering two different spaces, Oceaneer’s Club and Oceaneer’s Lab, for kids ages 3-12, your kiddos are going to be thrilled with all the options and places for having tons of fun.
5. Adult Only Experiences
While your kids are enjoying the kids’ clubs, the grown-ups can enjoy spaces and experiences just for them. From mixology classes, trivia, the spa, the fitness center, two amazing restaurants and a separate adults-only pool, there is no shortage of choices for adults!
6. Port Adventures
Disney Cruise Line does a fantastic job of selection port excursions for their voyages. There are options for all ages, tastes and temperaments. From a relaxed beach day to a high energy zip line adventure, there is sure to be something amazing for everyone in your party to experience.
7. Castaway Cay
If there is a contest for a true paradise on earth, I would like to nominate Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay in the Bahamas. Beautiful white sand beaches are groomed to perfection for each new set of cruisers, and there is no shortage of fun to be hand once you arrive. Snorkeling, bike riding, stingray feeding, floating, hammock swinging – whatever you are in the mood for, I promise you are going to love it.
8. Shows and Onboard Entertainment
Every night of your cruise, a Broadway-level performance takes place in the Walt Disney Theater on board each ship. There are also amazing musical and comedy performers that appear in different venues throughout your cruise.
Characters abound on Disney Cruise voyages! Mickey and the Fab Five, the princesses, Tinkerbell and more are available for meet and greets and amazing photo opportunities. Some voyages also have character breakfasts with your little ones favorite friends from Disney Junior. The availability of characters is documented on the daily Navigator that outlines all available activities so you can make plans to check all the characters off your list!
Disney Cruise voyages are full of so many special, unique moments that you and your family are sure to make memories that you will talk about for years. There are so many different itineraries to choose from and ports to visit, there is a great variety available. Three new cruise ships are in the works, and I know my family can’t wait to set sail on all of them!
