Walt Disney once said Disneyland will never be completed as long as there is imagination left in the world, this concept has ever since expanded all over The Walt Disney Company, including Walt Disney World.
Things are always changing in the parks, whether is in shows, attractions, expansions, etc. Today we are going to talk about 3 Disney World rides that will be changing soon:
SPLASH MOUNTAIN
Last year Disney announced Splash Mountain will be reimagined to Princess and the Frog. This in order to make the ride more inclusive so all guests could connect and be inspired by it.
Tiana is a modern, courageous and empowered woman who pursues her dreams and never loses sight of whats important. Her story is also based in New Orleans and the Louisiana bayou so it’s perfect for Splash Mountain.
There’s is no set date for this change but we hope we can see it come to life soon!
JUNGLE CRUISE
One of the most iconic attractions at Disney World is getting new experiences that will add more humor and wildlife that reflect and value the diversity of the world around us.
Between the updates are the rhino scene that will include more details about the explorers like their background stories. and chimpanzees making an appearance taking over the explorers boat!

There’s still no set date for this update but imagineer Chris Beatty said they hope they can get everything ready for this year so we’ll see!
SPACESHIP EARTH
The main icon of Epcot is changing, this attraction was going to go under a big refurbishment back on May 26, 2020 but that wasn’t the case. When the parks reopened in July, Spaceship Earth reopened as well so we are not exactly sure when it will close to allow imagineers work on these changes.
The updated version is suppose to include a new Egypt version that will transform through the power of light, a new narration and see how light plays a central role in our shared human journey.
It was also recently announced that new lights will shine across the reflective panels of Spaceship Earth connecting to one another in a symbol of optimism resembling stars in a nighttime sky in honor of Walt Disney World 50th anniversary.
