The Most Magical Celebration on Earth begins on October 1st at Walt Disney World!
50 years ago, Walt Disney’s magical dream came true. His beloved Florida Project came to life and has been expanding ever since with new stories, characters and adventures to cherish for a lifetime.
And now we are so excited to announce more details about the 18 month celebratory event in honor of Walt Disney World 50th anniversary. It will be filled with new experiences and EARidescent decor around the 4 theme parks! Let’s take a look:
BEACONS OF MAGIC AT ALL FOUR THEME PARKS
MAGIC KINGDOM
Cinderella Castle will illuminate Magic Kingdom with a dazzling radiance that sparkles with pixie dust. Gold accents will also be added around the castle, as well as a big 50 in the center to commemorate this magical celebration!
EPCOT
New lights will shine across the reflective panels of Spaceship Earth, connecting to one another in a symbol of optimism resembling stars in a nighttime sky. The iconic structure’s permanent new lightning will continue beyond “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” as a defining feature of the park.
HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS
The Hollywood Tower Hotel at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be awash in a brilliance evoking the golden age of imagination and adventure.
ANIMAL KINGDOM
A warm light will emanate from the Tree of Life as magical fireflies gather to usher in the magic of nature.

MICKEY AND MINNIE: DRESSED FOR THE OCCASION
Mickey and Minnie are dressing up for the occasion with sparkling new looks! These new custom-made costumes feature beautiful embroidered impressions of Cinderella Castle backed by fireworks, as well as a brocade in blue and purple multi-toned, EARidescent fabric with pops of gold.
So get ready to join Mickey, Minnie and Walt Disney World cast members at this magical event later this year! We can’t wait!
