Thinking of staying at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort? Great choice! Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is one of Disney’s moderate level hotels and gives guests a tropical, island vibe. The resort is divided into 5 distinct villages: Barbados, Jamaica, Martinique, Trinidad, and Aruba. Many renovations have taken place recently so this resort feels fresh and new! That in and of itself is a great reason to book a stay, but let’s go over the top 5 reasons to experience Disney’s Caribbean Beach!
Recreation
If you enjoy jogging, biking, or fishing, then this resort is for you! Guests can rent bikes from the marina or jog the 1.4-mile promenade around Barefoot Bay. If you prefer to be on the water, you can rent a boat and go for a cruise around the bay or book a fishing session. You can also enjoy a friendly volleyball game on a sandy court in one of the resort villages. There are so many fun activities to do while you’re at the resort.
Awesome Pools
The main pool at Disney’s Caribbean Beach, the Fuentes del Morro Pool, is one of the best on Disney property! It’s pirate themed-complete with forts and cannons-and guests go crazy for it. There are also 2 water slides (one is 102 feet long), a wading pool, a shipwreck play area, a 12-person jacuzzi spa, and a pool bar (the Cabana Banana). Your little ones will love the shipwreck play area that features mini slides, a crow’s nest, and a barrel of laughs that dispenses a drenching downpour! As with all of the Disney resorts, there is more than one pool to choose from. There are 5 leisure pools, one in each village, for guests to enjoy a quieter pool experience.
Caribbean Cay
Looking for a place to relax when you aren’t exploring the Disney theme parks? Look no further than Caribbean Cay! Caribbean Cay is the resort’s private island for guests to enjoy. Located in Barefoot Bay, guests can access the island from bridges in Old Port Royale and Jamaica. This is the perfect place to take a romantic stroll, enjoy a picnic, or just relax in a hammock. It’s definitely one of Caribbean Beach’s best-kept secrets!
Room Options
Being a moderate level resort, Caribbean Beach offers rooms that sleep up to 5 adults. Guests can get a room with a king bed, a room with 2 queen beds or a room with 2 queen beds and a child-size pull-down bed. All of those rooms are island-themed and very comfortable. But wait, there’s one more type of room at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort! There are pirate-themed rooms that sleep up to 4 adults. Pirate rooms have 2 full-sized pirate ship beds, crates and barrels for furniture, and other awesome pirate decor! These are the only rooms at the Walt Disney World Resort where you can feel like a pirate.
Transportation
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort offers buses to take guests to and from the Disney theme parks, water parks, and Disney Springs. These buses do not make stops at any other resort hotel. Also, coming later this month, the Disney Skyliner gondolas will take guests from the hotel to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot. Having multiple transportation options makes Caribbean Beach a great resort for your next Disney vacation!
