8 of the Best Ways Adults Can Feel Like a Kid Again While at Disney.
Disney is the most magical place on earth and I really feel like a kid again at Disney. When I say I am headed to Disney again I am usually greeted with the eye-roll and “Again? Isn’t Disney for kids?”  Wrong! Disney isn’t just geared for children and we have recently outlined all of the amazing things adults can do while vacationing at Disney. However, I think it’s important to understand a little bit better on why adults are constantly going to Disney, with and without children. Here are my top 8 ways adults can feel like a kid again at Disney.

8 of the Best Ways Adults Can Feel Like a Kid Again While at Disney.

Extra Amenities. Disney has thought of everything, all the way down to in-room celebrations. Guests visiting Disney can order special packages that can be delivered to your room before you visit. Disney offers a variety of options for the in-room celebrations from Birthday packages to Romantic ones. Imagine the surprise on your significant others faces unknowingly walking into their room with a special basket waiting for them on the bed! That would certainly make anyone giddy enough to feel like a child again!

A Movie Under the Stars. If you are staying at one of the Disney resorts on property, the resort amenities don’t stop as soon as you check-in and place your bags on the bed. The resorts also offer extra events both during the day and at night! If you are choosing to have a relaxing day at your resort you are in for a real treat during the day. Resorts will often offer special pool parties, trivia games, yoga and more! Plus, to top off your day, Disney brings a bit of childhood nostalgia to you by offering a movie under the stars at some resorts. Located at the pool, a giant inflatable screen comes up and some of our Disney favorites are played.

Pool Time. Speaking of pools, playing at the pools both at your resort and the waterparks can really pull at your kid heartstrings! There is nothing better than running to a giant water slide and rushing down into the pool below. Some resorts can even find a big slide located at their resort! But be careful though, word has it rushing down a waterslide can give you a serious case of the belly laughs!

Attractions! Of course, the attractions are on our list! There are plenty of things that make me feel like a kid again, but one of my top things is riding the rides. I absolutely love singing along with the theme song of the rides and dancing as we go through each attraction. My absolute favorite to sing and dance to is Splash Mountain. This ride really brings me back to my childhood with a catchy song, fun theme, and bright colors. This ride leaves me giddy for hours!

Parades. Speaking of singing and dancing, I also love to sing, dance and wave to the characters during the Festival of Fantasy parade. Waving to these characters and having them acknowledge you is something magical and really brings out the kid in you. Plus, with the new Get Your Ears on Celebration you can dance your heart away in the streets WITH the characters! It is a seriously good time.

Characters, Characters, and More Characters! Speaking of dancing with characters, just meeting the characters, in general, brings you back to your childhood! Meeting the characters are NOT just for kids. A friend and I recently attended the After Hours event at Hollywood Studios and the child in us really came out once we spotted the characters. We were running from character to character and ride to ride. It was a blast that we won’t soon forget, core memory moment meeting those characters.

Alright, these last two are a tie for me, which are Mickey/Disney Attire and the food, specifically candy/treats!

Mickey Attire! Mickey Attire isn’t technically a must when you visit the most magical place on earth….but, it should be! I absolutely love showing my Disney love, both at Disney and at home. Whenever I put on my Disney shirt, shorts, shoes, EARS my mood automatically changes to happiness. I honestly can’t explain it. It just brings childhood joy to my heart.

Disney Treats. The same goes for Disney treats! Lollipops! Candy Apples! Cupcakes! COTTON CANDY! Give me all the treats at Disney! Remember, diets don’t matter while you are at Disney.

Did I miss anything on this list? What makes you feel like a kid again at Disney?

Jessica was born in Texas but moved to New Hampshire when she was 9. Due to her increasing hatred towards the cold, she has been secretly turning her husband into a Disney lover in hopes to move to Florida. Hopefully her cover wasn't just compromised! Oh, she also loves painting, crafting, and all that stuff.
