Taking my first vacation with Adventures by Disney this summer was one of the most fun and rewarding trips I’ve ever done. I had been to Europe once before a very long time ago but it was nothing compared to this experience.
Adventures by Disney is a way to explore the world outside of the theme parks but with the same exceptional customer service that you would expect of Disney. You travel in small groups with Adventure Guides who are there to ensure you have the best (and easiest) vacation possible. So why should your next Disney vacation be with Adventures by Disney?
Service
The treatment you receive with Adventures by Disney is top notch from beginning to end during your vacation. Most people, like me, have very long flights when traveling internationally. It was wonderful to walk off the plane and find a representative waiting to take us to our private car service. We were literally whisked away to our our five star hotel in Manchester, London. It was so nice not have to plan out our transportation.
We had two Guides throughout our entire trip as well as local guides for each city we visited. This was really helpful when traveling internationally because the local guides speak the language and know the area extremely well. To just follow them and not have to stress about where to go next made our trip a breeze.
The two main Adventure Guides really got to know our group and attended to every need we had. They always had bottled water, snacks and games for the kids and they handled moving all our luggage from location to location…which is a small but important difference between Adventures by Disney and other guided tours. Whatever we needed they were there to provide. They also served as our personal photographers which was very helpful.
Perks
I liken traveling with Adventures by Disney to taking a VIP tour in either Disneyland or Disney World. For example, the palace in Versailles is a very popular tourist destination in France. This means expecting a large crowd during the summer with long lines to get in. With our Adventure Guides we didn’t have to worry about that at all because we had our own entrance.
Another fantastic perk we received was a VIP FastPass when staying in Disneyland Paris. Not having to navigate FastPasses or deal with long lines in the parks was a huge perk, not to mention a huge time saver!
Convenience
The list of sites we saw and experiences we had seems endless and looking back, I can’t believe we accomplished so much in the 9 days we were there. Any popular landmark or location in England and France that you can think of (Buckingham Palace, Tower of London, Windsor, Eiffel Tower, Versailles…), we did. In addition we also learned archery and took a speedboat ride on the River Thames. In France we not only tasted wine, we had our own private class in a restaurant in Montmarte. We didn’t just have scones and tea in England, we learned how to make them in yet another private class held in Windsor.
With Adventures by Disney you don’t just visit a new city or country-you are completely immersed into it without having to do any of the work. Did you know if you take the Adventure to New York you can to go backstage of a Disney musical? If you decide to explore Germany you’ll get to learn how to make authentic German pretzels from scratch (and don’t forget the beer!). The possibilities are truly endless.
Value
As you might expect all of this comes with a price tag. When I sat down to figure out the cost of each and every item, personal experience and VIP treatment I had on this trip it was less as a whole than if I reserved each activity on on my own. Don’t forget most of these experiences (like learning how to make scones in Windsor) cannot be reserved for just anyone. Adventures by Disney has built relationships with the locals in each city, which gives them the opportunity to share such great experiences with its guests and its guest only.
Options
Not only can you easily see amazing landmarks like the Eiffel Tower, Danube River or The Great Wall of China with Adventures by Disney, you also have the option to take Short Escapes. These quick Adventures are more like long weekends in locations like New York City or San Francisco and can also be added onto your cruise with Disney Cruise Line
Adventures by Disney updates and adds new itineraries each year. Most itineraries are family friendly but there are adult exclusive options as well. From the national parks of Wyoming to the white sand beaches of Australia, on the newest itinerary in Japan, there is an Adventure waiting for you and your family. Check out all the options HERE.
