Josh D’Amaro, chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products shared in an interview with The Dow Report that he is eager to reopen the Disneyland Resort.
The California parks have been closed since March, and despite the Walt Disney World Resort reopening back in July, Disneyland’s future is still uncertain.
“The reality is i don’t have an opening date for Disneyland right now, in fact we don’t have any California guidelines for opening” mentioned Josh. “As soon as a date and those guidelines are set, i can tell you, we are ready.”
California is now allowing any theme parks to reopen yet due to a rise in coronavirus cases. In fact, Orange County, where Disneyland is located, was removed from the list of counties on California’s monitoring list this past Sunday.
As for Anaheim, they currently are on the Stage 3 of reopening businesses and have no date yet as to when they will be moving to Stage 4 which includes theme parks.
“Needless to say, we’re eager to get the engine going again” said Josh D’Amaro. “I want to get Cast Members back to work as quickly as i can.”
So hopefully we can hear good news about Disneyland very soon and go back to enjoy the magic!
