Bob Chapek confirmed that Walt Disney World has increased it’s capacity to 35%.
The Disney CEO confirmed the news during a recent investors call for The Walt Disney Company. Just back in October the parks were operating at 25% capacity, so we are not sure exactly when they decided to increase it.
We think it must have been around a week ago when the Holiday season officially kicked off at the resort. As you can see in the pictures above, Magic Kingdom looks more crowded then usual.
Bob Chapek explained that this increased has been able to happen while still adhering to the social distancing guidelines from the CDC.
So even though Governor DeSantis allowed theme parks to return to full capacity, Disney opted to follow the CDC’s recommendations, and remind guest to wear face coverings at all times and follow all the health and safety measures put in place.
