With such a range of options offered throughout Disney parks and resorts, a common question is often, “Can adults order kid meals for themselves while at Walt Disney World?” Unfortunately, we can’t give you a straight yes or no, because, well, it depends! Sorry, not the answer you were looking for, we know, but stick with us! Disney is known worldwide for the fantastic culinary options around the parks and resorts, as well as, their commitment to meeting every guest’s needs, such as dietary restrictions. At each service location, there will always be something for light eaters as well as for those searching for more hearty options.
But, again, we always hear the question, “Can adults order kid meals?” This is a common question for those who don’t eat a lot of food, which I completely understand, I’m not always a big eater! In most cases, the answer is yes, let’s explore those options.
Guests will be able to enjoy a kid meal at each of Disney’s Quick Service restaurant locations, including menus from the resort food courts and theme park restaurants. While Disney does have a policy that kid menus are designed for visitors 9 years of age or under, this seems to only be enforced at Table Service locations. Therefore, there is nothing stopping you from enjoying some of the smaller portion size options. Plus, healthy eaters will be able to enjoy Disney Check meals that provide lighter portions to those who are looking to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Of course, if you are paying out of pocket these meals will be cheaper, however, for those on the Disney Dining Plan, these meals will still be 1 Quick Service Dining Credit.
At Table Service Dining, Signature Restaurants, and Character Dining, Disney does enforce the policy that Kids Menus are designed for visitors 9 years of age or under, however, we have heard that this may depend on the restaurant. While we can’t confirm or deny this as many of Disney’s restaurants have been known to enforce this policy, you’ll find Cast Members at each restaurant that will be able to advise you on the proper information. However, it’s important to keep in mind that even if ordering lighter bites, adults should expect to pay the standard adult pricing at most Table Serve restaurants, signature dining, and character dining experiences. The same rule of thumb applies at buffet-style restaurants, you will still be expected to pay the adult price for your meal.
