One of the best things about a vacation at Walt Disney World Resort is the food. What are the best quick service locations at Walt Disney World? Check out this list of some of my favorites and then plan to eat your heart out on your next visit!
What is a Quick Service Meal?
When you think of a counter service meal at a theme park, you may be thinking hot dogs, French fries, funnel cakes, etc. While you can certainly get any of these options at Walt Disney World, there are so many other choices as well. There are options for every taste and many are shareable! If you are using one of the Disney Dining Plans on your trip, a quick service meal includes an entrée and drink of your choice, including an alcoholic beverage for those 21 years of age and older.
Be Our Guest
While this restaurant is a quick-service meal for both breakfast and lunch, a reservation is needed due to its popularity. You are able to order your food up to 30 days in advance using the My Disney Experience app, which I highly recommend. If you choose not to use the app, you will use kiosks to order.
You will then sit in your choice of rooms inside the Beast’s Castle, including the forbidden West Wing, and your food is delivered right to your table. You even have the opportunity to try “the Grey Stuff” and believe me, it’s delicious! With even more great additions to the menu coming, this is a must-do for me every trip!
Please note, the only time this restaurant has a character meet is during dinner, which is a signature dining experience. If you are using one of the Disney Dining Plans, it will be 2 table service credits.
Columbia Harbour House
This restaurant is found in Liberty Square. I like it for several reasons – there is a lot of indoor seating, upstairs and downstairs, the food is very good, and the portions are pretty big. This is one of the restaurants where meals could easily be shared. Whether you’re looking for a combo platter of fish, chicken, and shrimp, a harbour salad with chicken or even a chicken pot pie, you will definitely find something to enjoy here!
Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Café
In Frontierland, Pecos Bill’s is my favorite. Again, there is a lot of indoor seating at this location and some great food with a Southwestern flair. Some choices include fajitas, beef or chicken nachos, rice bowls and more! Plus, if you time it just right, you can step right outside in the afternoon and watch the Festival of Fantasy parade with a great view!
One of things that I love the most about Epcot is the festivals that occur throughout the year. In my opinion, the best part of these festivals is the food booths that are set up throughout the park, particularly in World Showcase. These food booths offer many different choices of drinks, snacks, and delicious dining options. If you are using the Disney Dining Plan, many of the options count as snack credits. I will often try a few items at the different booths if I am looking for a quick meal.
However, if you are going to be at Epcot when there is not a festival happening or if you prefer to have a full quick service meal, there are some great choices.
This restaurant is in the Land Pavilion in Future World. The best part about the many choices available at this location is that much of the food is grown in the greenhouses of the Land Pavilion. Some of meal choices include Sweet and Sour Chicken, Power Salad with Chicken or Barbecue Pork Sandwich.
Located in the Japan Pavilion, this restaurant is a bit hidden but includes several options including sushi, noodles, and teriyaki. You can also get plum wine and sake at this location.
La Cantina de San Angel
In the Mexico Pavilion, stop at this location along the water to enjoy tacos, churros and even a margarita!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Flame Tree Barbecue
This restaurant is one of my absolute favorites. Found on Discovery Island, there is a lot of outdoor seating and some great food here. This is another location where many of the options are shareable, or you need to come with a big appetite!
This restaurant is in Pandora – The World of Avatar and includes healthy options inspired by Pandora. My favorite option here is the combination bowl with beef and chicken. You then choose your own base and sauce. If you are looking for great drink options, you may also want to visit Pongu Pongu and try the Night Blossom!
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
With Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opening soon, there will be even more food options available at Disney’s Hollywood Studios but in the meantime, here are a few of my favorites.
In Toy Story Land, you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner at this quick service location. You can grab a breakfast bowl or a S’more French Toast Sandwich for breakfast, among other choices. For lunch or dinner, enjoy BBQ Brisket Melt or an amazing Grilled Three-Cheese Sandwich! You can also grab an ice cream float as a snack!
Located off of Commissary Lane, this quick service location offers everything from a BBQ Rib Platter to a Mediterranean Salad with Chicken. Don’t forget to grab a S’more Cookie!
The best part about many of these dining options is that they offer mobile ordering. When you are ready to head to your next meal, pop on the My Disney Experience app and order what you want. Then, wait for the notification that your meal is ready and hop into the mobile ordering line to pick it up!
With so many options to choose from, this is not a comprehensive list. In my opinion, these are some of the best quick services locations in Walt Disney World.
