Some new and exciting events were unveiled yesterday at the D23 Destinatiom D . Disney Parks Experience and Consumer Products Chairman Bob Chapek was gracious enough to share many new technologies, shows, and ideas that Disney will be implementing in their parks over the next few years. Included in these awesome guests experiences are some Mickey and Minnie themed fun for park-goers and cruise-liners. Here’s a quick peek at what was offered:
Mickey and Minnie Celebrations at Disneyland Park
A new celebration of both Mickey and Minnie Mouse is coming to Disneyland Resort beginning January 18th. Get Your Ears On: A Mickey and Minnie celebration bring with it new food, merchandise, and entertainment. A new nighttime extravaganza entitled “Mickey’s Mix Magic”will include music, laser, and projections. All the fun will center around a high-energy dance party where guests can get-down with our favorite two mice. But wait, there’s more! Beginning in January of 2019, Mickey will lead the returning Mickey’s Sensational Parade with his own float.
A Wonderful World of Animation
Celebrate 90 years of Disney animation with a new show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The new will feature state-of-the-art technology and will open just in time for the 30th anniversary of Hollywood Studios. You can’t celebrate Disney animation without Mickey right? It was “all started with a mouse” after all! The new event beginning in May 2019 will feature our man Mickey front and center!
Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railroad
Get ready for a fun and exciting new attraction coming to Hollywood Studios. The new ride, featuring a new story line from the popular Disney series “Mickey Shorts” will include a real-world, 3-D train-full of fun. It’s sure to bring with it a great story line, complete with lots of surprises, twists, and turns. Of course, expectations are high as this new attraction will be replacing the Great Movie Ride.
Disney Fantasy Hosting the Mickey and Minnie Fun
Mickey and Minnie often set sail with Disney Cruise Lines in hopes of experiencing high sea adventure with guests. This year, the Disney Fantasy is celebrating the couple by including a dance party designed to celebrate the “big cheese” and is love!
In addition to new park and cruise developments, Chapek shared a deeper look inside Mickey: The True Original Exhibition in New York City. With all the celebration of Mickey and Minnie, 2019 and beyond and set to celebrate new and exciting expansions at Disney parks and cruises! Many featuring our favorite mouse couple! With even more exciting news and developments begin announced each day, the coming years will be an exciting upgrade to previous park and cruise experiences…Oh Boy! We can’t wait.
