I know I say it a lot and I know I might be a little biased seeing as I write for a company specializing in all things Disney, but seriously Disney is the most magical place on earth. What better way to explore the most magical place on earth than to discover Disney with your friends and family this year!
There are so many exciting things coming to Disney, yes that means we lose a few of our favorites, but Walt would have wanted Disney to grow and change with the times while still paying homage to the original concept. This means we have to take away a few things to add a few things, right?!
I love discovering all things new at Disney, but I also love all of the old. However, my favorite thing to do at Disney is the character experiences!! I really don’t feel like there is an age too old to visit with characters, especially the rare occasion characters! With Kevin roaming around the Animal Kingdom, Mickey Mouse at Town Square Theater in the Magic Kingdom, or Anna and Elsa in Epcot, you are sure able to discover Disney magic by living your best life at Walt Disney World.
The character experiences not your thing, no worries! What about the amazing shows and nighttime spectaculars offered throughout each of the parks! I love Beauty and the Beast, so it should be no surprise I always add the Beauty and the Beast show in Hollywood Studios to my itinerary each time I go. I am also a big fan of Broadway Musicals, so this just adds to the love of the show. Now there is a sing-along in the France Pavilion in Epcot! I am in heaven!! Speaking of Hollywood Studios, I also absolutely love the nighttime spectacular Fantasmic show. Of course, there are all of the fireworks spectaculars occurring each night at every park!
Of course, you can’t forget the attractions! The four Parks of Walt Disney World Resort offer a number of attractions for the whole family. We all know the popular attractions in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, especially with Rise of the Resistance recently opening at both Disney World and Disneyland. But, what about the other attractions?! My favorite attraction is the Kilimanjaro Safaris at Disney’s Animal Kingdom where you can discover Disney on the Harambe Wildlife Reserve. Fun fact: The Harambe Reserve is home to 34 species living in 110 acres of picturesque open plains, shady forest landscapes, and rocky wetlands! My son’s favorite ride is Splash Mountain, we have to ride that attraction multiple times each visit.
Epcot Festivals are the perfect way to discover Disney!! This year, from January 17 – February 24, guests can immerse in a celebration of visual, culinary and performing arts from around the world, featuring Disney on Broadway concerts and original artwork at the Epcot International Festival of the Arts. Plus, from March 4 through June 1, experience the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, before exploring the Food and Wine Festival in the Fall.
Lastly, explore the parks by finding those special Instagramable walls and food throughout the parks! Popular today is the Purple Wall in the Magic Kingdom, the Bumble Gum wall in Epcot, and of course, the iconic park icons in the backgrounds of each of your pictures are sure to be a hit on your Instagram and Facebook accounts.
