It’s that time of year once again, and everyone is preparing for turkey day tomorrow! Although many of us would love to be spending the holiday at Walt Disney World Resort, for those of us who can’t, Disney Chefs have shared some valuable Thanksgiving Day tips! Of course, Thanksgiving is a holiday to reflect on what we are thankful for, and we should all be thankful for the amazing support that Disney’s Culinary Cast Members are once again giving to the Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida., an organization that provides emergency services, housing, and diversion for local homeless men, women, and children.
Disney’s culinary teams have been supporting this organization for more than 20 years and will be providing freshly prepared meals to the Coalition’s nearly 650 residents on Thanksgiving Day. Even though this year has had some large obstacles and challenges with the pandemic of COVID-19, Chef James and his culinary team will be keeping this important tradition alive and will be preparing a full, traditional Thanksgiving Day feast.
To help the Coalition, the Walt Disney World Team has also donated $20,000 of money collected from very special places around Disney. Ever wonder what happens to the coins that thousands of guests throw into Disney fountains every year? This year, the funds were collected and donated to the Coalition to help make the Thanksgiving meal service possible. It’s so nice to know that all of the coins tossed are going to such a worthy cause!
