3 New Star Wars Movie Announcements Expected Next Month Lucasfilm is set to announce three new film projects during Star Wars Celebration in London next month. There has been a small drought of films from the Star Wars universe since the last release The Rise of Skywalker in 2019. Star Wars is currently thriving on the small screen on Disney+ courtesy of The Mandalorian, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and The Book of Boba Fett. Lucasfilm has more planned for Disney+ with Ahsoka and Skeleton Crew on it’s way, but theaters are currently dark.
