Thinking about a visit to Walt Disney World this Fall? Then top of your Disney must-do list should be attending one of Magic Kingdom’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary-Halloween Parties. On select nights from August – October 31st, Disney celebrates the season with spooky decorations, characters dressed in their Halloween finery, trick or treating, seasonal entertainment and so much more!
What are the dates for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party? Visitors to Walt Disney World should note that this is a special ticketed event. You must purchase your ticket for a specific party night and these are as follows:
- August 28 and 31
- September 3, 7, 9, 11, 14, 16, 18, 21, 23, 25, 28 and 30
- October 2, 4, 5, 8, 9, 11, 12, 14, 16, 18, 19, 21, 23, 25, 26, 28, 30 and 31
What time does the party start? The party fun kicks off at 7pm on the dates listed above and runs until midnight. However, those with a party ticket do have access to the parks from 4pm.
Costumes & Trick or Treating: Guests of all ages are encouraged to come to the party wearing your favorite Halloween costume. However, there are costume guidelines that need to be followed. For more information check out this article.
On your way into the Magic Kingdom for the party, be sure to grab a treat back for trick or treating. Also, grab a park map which will highlight all of the trick-or-treat stations you’ll find throughout the theme park. Fans of Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom also have a special treat in store. Head to the Fire Station for a special Halloween-themed spell card. This year’s design features Orange Bird.
“Boo To You” Parade – This spooktacular parade takes place twice during party nights. The Headless Horseman leads the hair-raising procession which includes lots of things the go bump-in-the-night including the scary gravediggers from Haunted Mansion. You’ll also find many of your favorite Disney friends sporting their Halloween costumes.
“The Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular” – Fans of the film Hocus Pocus won’t want to miss your chance to see the Sanderson Sisters in action as they call on some of Disney’s most formidable baddies to help conjure up the ultimate Hocus Pocus Party Potion. The show takes place a few times on party nights at the Castle Forecourt Stage and features amazing Halloween-inspired musical numbers that are sure to “Put A Spell on You.”
Halloween-themed Treats- From Maleficent ice cream cones and Halloween Mickey Waffles to Jack Skellington Cake Pops and Candy Corn Milkshakes, the Halloween Parties are absolutely brimming with delicious treats. “Happy HalloWishes Fireworks”- The icing on the cake of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is the frightfully delightful evening fireworks display that offers Magic Kingdom entertainment at its best. Disney Villains light up the night sky to a villainous soundtrack featuring songs like “Grim Grinning Ghosts,” “Poor Unfortunate Souls,” “Never Smile at a Crocodile” and more!
