Disney Cast Members made our visits to the Walt Disney World Resort magical every single time, now it’s time for us to return a little bit of that magic to them.
Recently it was announced that another round of layoffs was happening at Walt Disney World and even though we saw this coming due to the lack of entertainment options at the resort, is still sad to see these amazing Cast Members go.
This recent round include mostly entertainment locations like Monsters Inc Laugh Floor, Hoop Dee Doo Musical Review, The Festival of The Lion King, Finding Nemo: The Musical, Beauty and The Beast Live On Stage and Citizens of Hollywood Studios.
Other locations also include:
- Cast & crew from Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular
- Green Army Men in Toy Story Land
- Jedi Training Academy in Hollywood Studios
- Voyage of the Little Mermaid Stage Show
- Cast & crew of Move It! Shake It! MousekeDance It! Street Party & Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire Stage Show
- Citizens of Main Street at Magic Kingdom
- Voices of Liberty at Epcot
- Turtle Talk with Crush
If you would like to help the Cast Members affected by this, you can do by donating to Cast Member Pantry or Cast Member ToyBox.
Cast Member Pantry helps Cast Members in need of groceries by giving out free food essentials once a month per CM. The bag includes foods that can make meals for 4 including breakfast and snack options as well.
Actor Josh Gad joined this initiative by donating and spreading the word out there for other people to donate as well.
Cast Member ToyBox on the other hand, is a nonprofit holiday toy drive that benefits the children of furloughed and laid-off Cast Members. They have different ways to donate, you can do it in person or by visiting their Amazon wish list!
If you would like to donate, you can do it in person at their next Toy Drive on November 7!
