In case you missed it or are new to the Disney community. Disney rolled out a new service for guests visiting the parks, Mobile Ordering. Guests who are visiting Walt Disney World now have the option to pre-order food ahead of time on the My Disney Experience app.
How does mobile ordering actually work you might ask? Well, we break it all down for you here. The “Mobile Order” features allow guests to order their meal on their phone, pay in advance, and then skip the line once their food is ready.
How to order:
Using your My Disney Experience app tap the “+” symbol located at the bottom of your screen.
Once you select the “+” symbol, several different options appear. Select “Order Food”.
Once you select “Order Food” the list of available locations appears on your screen.
Once you select your participating location, you will then select “Order Food” once again.
After selecting “Order Food” you are then taken to the menu. From here you will make your food selections.
Once you have made all of your selections, click the “bag” icon at the top right of the screen, then select “Review Order Summary”. From here you will enter your payment information. Guests using the Disney Dining Plan can now order their food via Mobile Order on the My Disney Experience app. However, anyone wishing to use Annual Passholder, other discounts, or to pay with a Disney Gift Card must place their order with a cashier.
Once your order is placed, head to the location you chose. Once you have arrived, select “I’m here, prepare my order ” the meal will not be prepared until the guest arrives and taps “I’m Here, Prepare My Order” on their mobile app. The app will then notify the guest when their meal is ready for pick up. We strongly suggest not to click “prepare my order” if you are on the other side of the park, otherwise, you will end up with cold food.
