Artists Thao French and Andrew Hem created two wonderful art pieces that you can see during your next visit, check them out, as well as, their inspiration behind each masterpiece:

THAO FRENCH
Thao’s art style is graffiti with her own spin on the spray painting technique that bring bold textures and color to her work. She wants to use her art and story to encourage women like her to persue their dreams!
“It’s an amazing and powerful feeling to be able to show up and represent for the Asian American Pacific Islander community” mentioned French. “I hope that my piece inspires other Asian women to pursue the arts because it’s extremely rewarding.”
ANDREW HEM
Andrew Hem actually worked as a Disney character artist over 15 years ago in his first job! This helped him to jump start his future and now in 2023 he has a growing career in the art industry. In this mural, the Cambodian-American artist brings together happiness in his life and the joy guests feel at Walt Disney World.
“When guest come to see my work, i want them to stop, slow down and jsut explore all the Easter eggs inside my work,” said Hem about the variety of hidden faces found witin his piece.
These pieces tell stories about the artists’ journeys, their passion for their art and the joy it brings to their life. You can find the Disney Springs Art Walk: A Canvas of Expression at Disney Springs and celebrate with them the first anniversary on May 22, 2023!
