It’s a new year and many are looking to put 2020 behind them. A visit to Walt Disney World can help do just that! January is an excellent time to plan your next Disney World vacation. Here are some reasons why!
As of January 1, 2021, Park Hopping has returned to Disney World! It is a bit different than before though. There are now park hopper hours for each theme park. Right now, park-hopping starts at 2 pm at each park and lasts through park closing. Guests will need to have a park pass reservation for the first park they visit on a given day but not the park they hop to. We will see if any changes are made to park hopping as the year progresses.

Disney recently announced two new special offers coming soon! For arrivals most nights January 8 through September 25, 2021, guests with select 4-Night/3-Day room & ticket packages will get an extra 2 days added to their tickets. For most stays from January 3 through April 17, 2021, guests can save up to 35% on rooms at select Disney World Resort hotels. Florida residents can also save up to 35% on select hotel rooms from January 3 to April 17 as well as purchase a 4-day ticket for $50 per day plus tax. Those tickets are valid most days January 4 through June 18, 2021.
After New Years Day, crowd levels at Walt Disney World tend to go down. With Disney still limiting capacity and many people still not traveling, the crowd levels will hopefully stay low. Also, winter break has ended and school is back in session (even if it is virtual learning in most places). As you can see from the image of the January calendar above, all of the parks are available for most of the month.
Did you know there is also a big event at Disney World beginning in January? The Taste of Epcot International Festival of the Arts begins January 8 and runs through February 22, 2021. The festival gives guests the opportunity to discover irresistible bites and sips from around the world, enjoy captivating entertainment, explore a variety of galleries, experience clever photo-ops, and shop for art and festival keepsakes.
