So many Lion King experiences to be had at Disney’s Animal Kingdom! Many of you reading this grew up with all the classic Disney movies, such as Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and even The Lion King. In fact, if you are like me, I bet you can recite the movie and you absolutely know every word to the songs throughout the movie, even if the lyrics you sing are incorrect, I am looking at “you” opening scene.
Now, with the new live-action Lion King recently released guests are craving all things Lion King, which is why we have put all of the possible guest experiences inspired by The Lion King in one place.
The number one guest experience on our list has to be the “Festival of the Lion King” at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. This vibrant, interactive live show celebrated the Circle of Life in a grand way! Featuring Simba, Pumba, Timon and friends this show is an absolute favorite for those visiting the Animal Kingdom. Guests can expect to hear live music, dancing, tumbling, fire knife performances, and aerial artists flying all around them.
If the live festival show wasn’t enough fun for you, then head over to the “Hakuna Matata Time Dance Party” at Discovery Island. Guests can have an action-packed dance party on the Discovery Island Stage where they can dance with Rafiki and Timon! “Hakuna Matata means no worries for the rest of your days”!
At the end of the night, you can enjoy more of The Lion King during the “Rivers of Light: We Are One” Light up your night event as well as during the nightly Tree of Life Awakenings show.
During the “River of Light: We Are One” experience, guests can experience the milestones we all share in the circle of life. The show features Disneynature live-action footage, plus a tapestry of moments from animal-inspired Disney animated films.
The Tree of Life also awakens every night with a new story inspired by The Lion King which is shown through beautiful projections, music, and animation that pay tribute to the classic film.
Before you head back to the Art of Animation to sleep in your Lion King-themed room, be sure to stop for a new Lion King plush toy, apparel and more available at various Disney merchandise locations.
We hope you have a magical time in Disney’s Animal Kingdom with all of the Lion King themed experiences available throughout the park!
