Ok, I admit it. I’ve often said, “I don’t get the fascination with the popcorn buckets”. And I really didn’t. But knowing many of you do, I wanted to give you a peek at this year’s Christmas bucket offerings so I did some research. I like to consider myself a humble person, capable of admitting when I am wrong so I am here to tell you, popcorn bucket lovers, I was wrong. I get it now! The more research I did the more I realized that these are actually pretty amazing little treat holders, aren’t they? At $1.57- $2.00 per refill, this is easily the best value in snackage at Walt Disney World. But if you’re reading this post you probably already know that and you just want to get the details on the new buckets, so without further ado:
Mickey’s best pal is just so doggone cute in his Ugly Christmas Sweater. This bucket is returning this year, sporting a red sweater instead of last year’s green. The back had a hatch that opens and a strap for easy carrying making Pluto the perfect vessel for your favorite on the go snack! You’ll find him in all 4 parks at various snack locations and popcorn carts. He runs $15.50 and refills are $2.00. This is a hot commodity though so it tends to sell out fast, so if your heart is set on one I’d make it my first stop of the day- popcorn for breakfast is totally ok at Disney!
“Do you wanna build a snowman”….with Minnie? How cute is this year’s design? This one features Minnie, Mickey and Pluto playing in the snow- something they probably don’t often get to do in Florida (or California either for that matter). This bucket comes with a lid to ensure you won’t spill any of that buttery goodness. Just watch out for flying snowballs! You’ll find this super cute Christmas popcorn bucket at most popcorn stands throughout all 4 parks. It’s $10.00, refills are $1.75.
Ooooooooooooo! These buckets have been chosen…to bring a smile to your face this holiday season. The wildly popular Pizza Planet Alien popcorn buckets in Toy Story Land are back and more jolly than ever. This bucket is available at Hollywood Studios and will run you $25 with refills at $2.00. They sell out almost every day so, again, if this is on your list I suggest making a beeline for it and buying it the moment you see it.
This snowman ornament cup holder has been spotted at Animal Kingdom. Is it not the absolute cutest? I’m already picturing how cute it will look on my mantle with my holiday decor! This cutie costs $15 and a drink is included at the time of purchase.
Deck the halls…or at least the straws! We love all of the fun ways to get into the Christmas spirit around Disney Parks and this year features an all-new way to have some holiday fun- and be environmentally friendly! Check out these amazingly cute Gingerbread Mickey straws! The souvenir straws are swirled like a peppermint stick and feature a gingerbread Mickey clip on (that can be removed and clipped elsewhere later!). It has been spotted at Animal Kingdom but will soon be available in all 4 parks. You can add some holly jolly fun to your beverages for $4.35 (+tax).
While these adorable new snack accessories are NOT dining plan eligible, refills for them ARE snack credit eligible. Though, if you want my advice I would strongly recommend against that. You won’t get your money’s worth on the dining plan that way (a good rule is to try to shoot for snack $5.00 or more). I can’t wait to get my hands on these. Which ones are on your holiday must-have list?
