Arrive Early
As with all Disney parks, the earlier you arrive, the shorter the lines will be. Which means more time to experience more attractions!
Single Rider Line
Skip the longer lines if you are willing to ride with strangers by using Single Rider at the following rides: Matterhorn Bobsleds, Millennium Falcon Smuggler’s Run, Radiator Springs Racers, Incredicoaster, Goofy’s Sky School, Web Slingers: A Spider-Man Adventure, and Grizzly River Run.
Dining is more Accessible
Many Disney restaurants now offer allergy-friendly menus to accommodate food intolerances as well as lifestyle requests – including low-fat, low-sodium, no-sugar-added, and vegetarian options.
All quick-service restaurants also offer FREE iced water.
Portable Chargers
Portable phone chargers called Fuel Rods are available via vending kiosks at several locations throughout both theme parks if you forget to pack your own. The first one is $30. After that, you can swap your empty rod for a fresh one at the kiosks for free.
Park Closing
Often the shops in the theme parks are open up to an hour longer than the attractions. Don’t carry bags around during the day, shop in the evening before you leave the park! Also, if you are in line for an attraction when the park “closes”, you will still get to ride. Anyone already in line at the time the park officially closes gets to ride.
Disneyland Monorail & Railroad
The Disneyland Monorail travels between Tomorrowland and the Downtown Disney District. You need a valid theme park ticket in order to ride.
Don’t skip out on a ride on the Disneyland Railroad! You’ll travel back in time and see some dinosaurs!
Lesser Known Tips
The Market House on Main Street has a couple of 1800s-era party line phones. Pick up these phones to listen to some mundane, yet humorous, conversations from that time period.
At Disney California Adventure, Boudin Bakery offers a tour and gives out free bread samples.
There is an “invisible” 50,000 point target in between Zurg’s breast plates on Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blasters. Aim roughly for the “Z” on his chest to rack up some big points!
And don’t forget to pick up a FREE celebration button at any Guest Services location or Disneyland Resort hotel.
