Have you ever visited Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort? It’s one of the monorail resorts found at Walt Disney World. The resort is a great place to stay if you want to vacation in a tropical setting. The resort rooms, food, entertainment, and pools are all spectacular. Also, guests can catch a glimpse of Magic Kingdom from the beach of the resort. We hope you read our list of reasons to visit Polynesian Village Resort!
Disney’s Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show
You’ll find many forms of live entertainment throughout the different Disney World resorts, but the dinner show at Polynesian resort is one of the best shows on property! Disney’s Spirit of Aloha dinner show offers a luau dining experience filled with singers, dancers, and drummers.
The all-you-care-to-enjoy tropical feast is delicious and would even satisfy the appetite of any hungry guest! You can enjoy your dinner and relax while entertainers take the stage. The highlight for us was seeing the fire dancers! The performers are quite talented and make the show a thrilling experience.
Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto
Did you know there’s an enchanted tiki bar at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort? Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto offers a unique tiki bar experience for guests to enjoy. The tiki bar opens in the evening and visitors often get in line early. What makes the Grog Grotto special is how it’s an interactive themed tiki bar. The bartenders and servers use silly props to amuse patrons. You can find an animatronic of an angry tiki goddess and volcanoes erupting on wall displays. The collectible tiki mugs offered for customers is another reason why people enjoy Trader Sam’s. We’ve tried their Nautilus drink, which is served in a tiki shaped as the submarine seen in 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. It’s worth visiting if you want to try totally different bar experience!
Resort Lobby
The entrance to the resort is beautiful with its tropical flower plants and music. You feel relaxed the minute you step foot on the resort grounds with the serene atmosphere. Entering the resort lobby is a magical experience. You’ll see a cheerful tiki idol, bright lights, and colorful artwork reminiscent of a tropical resort in the South Pacific. If scheduled, you can find hula dancing lessons offered in the resort lobby as well.
Resort Pools and Beach
The swimming pools offer great relief from the Florida heat during the summer. Both adults and kids alike can enjoy the tropical themed resort pools. Looking for some excitement? The Lava Pool has a 142-ft water slide and you’ll smile as you smile down the volcano themed water slide. The Oasis Pool is located in a lush garden and offers a calm tropical setting. Guests can relax here and rest by the poolside. Families of all ages can enjoy these pools.
The bungalows and villas offer an amazing resort experience for families that stay at these rooms. You can enjoy the view of Magic Kingdom from your bungalow and gaze upon the beach of the resort. In fact, guests who visit the beach can enjoy a spectacular view of the fireworks at night.
By now you can see why so many people love visiting Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. We hope you check it out on your next Disney World vacation!
