Earlier this year Disney announced that live entertainment would be returning to Disney World this summer. The first show returning is ‘A Celebration of Festival of the Lion King’ at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and it is opening in May.

Today Walt Disney World President Jeff Vahle shared pictures to Instagram showing that preparations for the show are underway. Cast Members can be seen training in the theater. They will need to learn how to operate the theater under COVID-19 restrictions.

We don’t have an exact reopening date yet. However, Vahle says the show will open in mid-May.
