Planning a Florida trip often entails a visit to the state’s theme parks and beaches. But what about dining? What are some places to eat at near Disney World? Well, today we highlight a few dining options outside of Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando!
Sit-down Dining Options
If you are looking for a new dining experience or nighttime entertainment, the new Estefan Kitchen in Sunset Walk over at Margaritaville Orlando is heating things up. Gloria and Emilio Estefan have created a magnificent restaurant and entertainment venue right here in central Florida that is sure to become a premier dining and entertainment spot in this travel destination.
We do recommend checking out Sunset Walk in Kissimmee because they offer many fantastic dining options. The Wharf, Rock & Brews, and Lizzie’s Memphis Style BBQ are just a few places to check out!
You can also find great live entertainment there, too!

Ford’s Garage
Here’s an affordable option with great atmosphere!
Ford’s Garage is your neighborhood burger and beer joint, where everyone is welcome. Ford’s Garage will give you the vibe of being in a 1920’s service station to include vintage Ford vehicles, gas pumps, and fixtures.
They feature a gourmet burger bar serving up the finest varieties of Black Angus Beef, Turkey, Chicken, and Vegetarian products coupled with all-natural aged cheeses and gourmet toppings. They also specialize in popular American comfort food entrees such as homemade meatloaf, chili, and famous macaroni and cheese. Lighter fare is also available. They also serve fresh salads, grilled chicken, and fresh fish. Their Burgers of Fame give honor and recognition to many of our local celebrities, keeping their connection to the communities we so much appreciate.
Quick Service Options
- Nick Filet
Did you know you could pick up a filet mignon sandwich at a quick service restaurant in Orlando? In addition to filet mignon sandwiches, the chain serves lobster rolls, buckets of chopped and seasoned steak called “filet bites,” salads and mac and cheese. The Orlando location is at 7600 Dr. Phillips Blvd. and will open seven days a week.
- Portillo’s and White Castle
If you’re looking for some affordable options, then you’ll find Portillo’s and White Castke next to each other in the same parking lot at Lake Buena Visita. You can grab a Crave Case of hamburger sliders at White Castle. Or you could pickup a Chicago hot dog and Italian Beef sandwich at Portillo’s.
- Giordano’s Pizza
Well, you can technically sit down at this restaurant, but we are recommending it in case you are seeking pizza for pickup after leaving the theme parks.
