For those in the Anaheim area, there is still a week left to try out all of the incredible dishes you’ll find at the marketplace kitchens at this year’s California Adventure Food & Wine Festival. For those that need a bit of inspiration, we’ve rounded up our list of some the festival’s most tasty and interesting treats. Be sure to jot down your favorites and head on over to Disneyland for the culinary event of the year!
1. Avocado Ice Cream Bar – You’ll find this dish at the Avocado Time Marketplace and though it may sound like an odd combination, trust us when we say that it is creamy and delicious! At this marketplace, you’ll also find other tasty avocado-based dishes like the Avocado & Pepper Jack Petite Guacamole Burger.
2. Orange Vanilla Cream Float – For the sweet taste of childhood, you’ll want to try out this delicious drink. Reminiscent of those delicious Dreamsicles you had as a kid, this drink offers the same delightful combination of orange and vanilla topped with a hefty dose of whipped cream with vanilla cake cubes. You’ll find it at Cluck-A-Doodle-Moo.
3. Salt & Beer Vinegar Parmesan Chicken Wings – Calling all chicken wing-lovers! You’ll also want to head over to the Cluck-a-Doodle-Moo marketplace to try these savory treats. The wings are tossed in a special mix of salt and parmesan before being sprayed with a mist of beer vinegar to give them their special flavoring!
4. Creamy Mac and Cheese – Fans of Mac and Cheese won’t want to pass up this delicious version over at Garlic Kissed. It comes topped with garlic bread crumble. It’s also perfect for those on a vegetarian diet!
5. Caramel Popcorn Crispy Treat – Now for something sweet. This crispy pop comes on a stick and is dipped in chocolate. It the perfect tiny decadent treat to satisfy those sugar cravings! You’ll find it at Off the Cob.
6. Beet Kombucha Sangria – Though this may sound like a bit of an odd combination, this alcoholic drink is actually really yummy and compliments many of the terrific veggie dishes you’ll find at the Eat Your Greens marketplace. Venture out of your comfort zone and give this beverage a try!
7. Strawberry & Coconut Rice “Frushi”- Head on over to the Strawberry Patch Marketplace for this sweet treat. It comes with a Sweet Oikos Greek Nonfat Yogurt Wasabi Sauce and pairs perfectly with the Strawberry Frose also on offer.
8. Lime Margarita – For a Margarita with a kick be sure to stop by the Peppers Cali-Ente Marketplace for this spicy cocktail. This margarita is garnished with a jalapeno pepper for a bit of an unexpected zing!
This is just a small handful of the incredible eats you’ll find at California Adventure Park next week. The Food & Wine Festival is also brimming with workshops, demonstrations, special tastings and so much more! It’s definitely worth checking out!
