So you’ve started planning your next Walt Disney World vacation, but where do you stay? Choosing a Walt Disney World Resort hotel can seem like a rather large task. There are more than 25 hotels under three resort categories; Value, Moderate, and Deluxe. Here are some great recommendations to help you decide where you might want to stay on your next Disney World trip.
Location, Location, Location
Do you have a specific Disney park you want to be close to or would you like easy access to the monorail? There are so many great amenities at each resort, so the location can help you narrow down your options. If there is a new attraction in one of the parks you’re eager to experience, you might want to choose a resort that is located close to that park.
Transportation
All of the resorts offer bus transportation to the theme parks. Some resorts also offer alternative transportation methods that may get you to some of the parks quicker. Monorail, Disney Skyliner, and water transportation are offered at some resorts as well and may make a bigger impact on your decision.
Theme
Each Disney Resort has it’s own theme and vibe and all are magical. But if you’re wanting to feel like you have been transported to an island vacation or like you are at a New England getaway, that will help you decide which resort to stay at.
Food
If you are a foodie or if food plays an important role in your vacation, then you will want to look into the dining options at each resort. Some resorts only offer a food court while others have multiple restaurants onsite. You don’t have to stay at a resort in order to dine at their restaurants, but it can be convenient to stay at the resort you most want to dine at.
Room Size
Not all resort rooms can sleep larger families. If you are a family of 5 or more and you all want to stay in the same room, you’ll need to stay at a resort with family suites or at a moderate or deluxe resort.
