Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa is a charming, Victorian-style Resort hotel and is nestled between rolling golf course greens and the shimmering Lake Buena Vista at Walt Disney World Resort. This resort is one of Disney’s deluxe hotels and is also a Disney Vacation Club resort. From stately studios to multi-bedroom villas, to dazzling pools and great location, there are so many reasons to stay at Disney’s Saratoga Springs! Let’s take a look at the top 5:
Pools
At Disney’s Saratoga Springs there are 2 feature pools, 3 leisure pools, aqua-play areas, whirlpool spas and more! The High Rock Spring Pool features gushing waterfalls, zero-depth entry and a 128-foot-long slide built into the rocks. Nearby is the Donald Duck play area with bubbling jets and a mini waterslide. The Paddock Pool features a zero-depth entry point and a 146-foot-long waterslide that flows from atop a water tower. All ages can enjoy the 3 leisure pools located throughout the resort.
Location
Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort is the only Walt Disney World hotel that offers access to Disney Springs via boat and walkway. Disney Springs is an easy walk from the resort across a footbridge. Guests can easily take advantage of the dining, shopping, and entertainment offered at Disney Springs.
Dining
Disney’s Saratoga Springs offers quite a few quick-service locations along with one table service location; The Turf Club. The Turf Club is one of the more underrated dining experiences at Walt Disney World because it offers both indoor and outdoor seating, has great service, good food, and – best of all – is rarely crowded. The main quick-service restaurant is Artist’s Palette which offers great sandwiches and the best quick service pizza.
Rooms
The different rooms offered at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort are Deluxe Studios, 1-bedroom Villas, 2-bedroom Villas, 3-bedroom Villas, and Treehouse Villas. The rooms can sleep from 4 to 12 guests. These rooms are all spacious and comfortable! The studios include a kitchenette with a small fridge and microwave, and a porch or balcony. The Villas include a full kitchen and split bathroom with the larger Villas also including a dining area, washer, and dryer.
Theme
Disney’s Saratoga Springs is inspired by historic Saratoga Springs—a late-1800s’ New York retreat famous for its spas and horse racing. There are representations of horses throughout Saratoga Springs, but you’ll also see a lot of references to horses from Disney animated films. The theming in the rooms is also perfect – just enough to tell the story of where you are without being in-your-face, and just enough Disney touches for it to feel like a special place!

It’s sad Saratoga Springs Resort gets beat up on so much for simply being a different Disney Resort. I love it amongst all the other resorts mostly because of how different it is. Excellent cast members, not an over the top in your face theme, and it’s often very quiet there (especially the Backstretch area). If you are placed in the Disney Springs side you can actually kinda get lost in the subtle theming as it transitions with the Disney Springs ‘old timey southern factory town’ kinda vibes so well.
Yes, it is sprawling, and, yes, most rooms are pretty far away from the main building, which seem to be the two main gripes about Saratoga. Personally, we didn’t find these negatives as we do online check in, and the space offers way more peace and quiet, plus lots of nature to see.
Their quick service was pretty good and their restaurant, Turf Club, secretly nestled in the back of the main building near the boat dock, was a really delicious little surprise as well. I had a fantastic salmon with veg and sweet carrot purée that I could have easily had many more times.
Overall I gotta agree with this article, there are lots of reasons to stay at Saratoga Springs Resort, especially DVC.
Other Pros:
Resort Closest to supermarket options
Resort easiest to get out of Disney area and on to other Central Florida offerings.
Boat located behind main building brings you to Disney Springs and then on a beautiful float to Port Orleans Riverside and French Quarter.
There is a Bus that takes you around the resort and onto Disney Springs.
In the process of room renovations, so lots of beautiful fresh rooms.
