What is Moana’s Journey of Water coming to Epcot?
Back in 2019, Disney announced some big changes coming to Epcot at Walt Disney World. One of the changes is a new attraction called Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana. This first-ever experience based on the Walt Disney Animation Studios hit film, “Moana,” will let guests interact with magical, living water in a beautiful and inspiring setting.
Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana will consist of a lush walk-through environment that engages and educates guests about the water cycle and how it sustains our world. The attraction will be anchored by a massive topiary of Te Fiti.

Journey of Water is part of the new World Nature neighborhood. The World Nature neighborhood is one of three new neighborhoods and is dedicated to understanding and preserving the beauty, awe and balance of the natural world. The attraction will basically be located between Spaceship Earth and the Seas with Nemo & Friends.

It will be a great spot for families to slow down and let kids blow off some steam. There will be shade, water, and lushness which is currently lacking at Epcot.
Construction for the attraction is ongoing and Disney has not given an exact opening date.
