Just like Disney World, a lot of exciting news came out at D23 this year for Disneyland! The original. The happiest place on earth. For those non-Disney Addicts, it’s the Disney park in California. Some similar to Disney World, some new things all to itself. If you missed what’s coming to Disney World, check it out here. So, what is changing in Disneyland and when is it happening? Let’s check it out.
Galaxy’s Edge opened. Now comes phase 2! Plus other fun offerings.
Magic Happens. This is the new Disneyland parade that will be celebrating the magical moments throughout Disney stories. The all-new fun and invigorating parade will be led by none other than Mickey and his pals, down Mainstreet USA in Disneyland park. More floats, more characters, fun energetic musical numbers and adding a new song. Partnering with singer/songwriter Toddrick Hall for the new song. They are adding a new contemporary flair to the classic Disney tunes for a high energy musical score. You will be able to see newer fan favorites such as Moana and CoCo along with classics, like Sleeping Beauty. This parade is set to debut in the Spring of 2020.
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. Coming in at warp speed to a galaxy near you. Ok, that’s a stretch. Launching January 17th, 2020. The debut is a little behind Disney World’s opening. Joining Galaxy’s Edge this massive attraction, with multiple ride systems unlike anything you’ve experienced, will finish that land nicely. For now.
Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railroad. Once again, Disneyland will be behind Disney World. The toon town addition takes place at the El CapiTOON theater. This attraction is the first Mickey-themed ride-through for Disneyland. It isn’t set to open until 2022. You will be thrown into the wacky unpredictable world of Mickey cartoon shorts. The creative world will be an immersive multidimensional experience.
California Adventure Park
Announced at D23 was the ever so exciting news of Marvel Land. So far we know a little more about phase one, than phase two.
Avengers Campus. Avengers Assemble! Marvel Land is kicking off at the beginning of 2020. And you can join them as they find Super Hero recruits for the next generation. Taking the group of Super Heros to the next level and you can be a part of it.
WEB. Worldwide Engineering Brigade will be opening alongside Avengers Campus in early 2020. This is a new Spiderman experience and the first-ever Spiderman attraction at Disney. Hang out on a “Web-Slinger” vehicle and see what it feels to have the power of slinging webs.
PYM Test Kitchen. You can’t open a new land, with heroic new rides and adventures without some food! We’ll be working up an appetite. Opening, you guessed it, early 2020. Disney hasn’t released must but does state, “Just as Ant-Man and The Wasp use “Pym Particles” to grow and shrink just about anything. Pym Technology is using the latest innovations to grow and shrink food at this eatery”. Intrigued to see how this turns out!
Phase Two. We don’t know as much about Phase Two of Marvel Land other than we can’t wait. The other two attractions are campuses where recruits will be training. After that, get ready for Avengers Headquarters. We are all about this. Just remember to experience Marvel at Disney, you will have to go to the West Coast.
As soon as we know any more, you will know! With all these new experiences and adventures, make sure to renew those passes! You don’t want to miss out on a single memory.
