Though you may be sacrificing tropical climes, what these offerings lack in beaches and swaying palms they make up for in breathtaking scenery, incredible port adventures and delightful ways to stay cozy. As a matter of fact, here are five ways that we like to snuggle up during our Alaskan expeditions!
1. It’s All About the Wardrobe – During your cruise to Alaska, you can definitely look the part! Follow Mickey and Minnie’s lead and bring lots of warm clothes. We also recommend clothes that can be layered easily. Whether you’re experiencing an unforgettable Port Adventure or enjoy all of the Disney Wonder’s incredible amenities, keeping warm at all times is pretty important.
2. How About Some Warm Hugs Olaf Style! – Everyone’s favorite lovable snowman Olaf, we’ll be onboard ready to share a warm hug or two. You can catch him aboard the Disney Wonder at the Oceaneer Club during the “Freeze the Night Away with Anna, Elsa and Friends” deck party or also in “Frozen: A Musical Spectacular.”
3. Take Dip in the Pool – Though this is usually thought of as a way to cool off, the pools aboard the Disney Wonder are heated and there are hot tubs on the upper decks both designed to keep you toasty. Trust us when we say you’ll never forget the feeling of taking a dip in the ship’s pool while snow-capped mountains glisten in the distance.
4. Cuddle with Dog Sled Puppies During a Port Adventure – One of the highlights of the Alaskan Cruises Port Adventures has to be the Dog Sled Adventure. During this excursion (which can be booked for an additional fee) guest will have the opportunity to get up close with some adorable puppies. Thought they haven’t learned to Mush! just yet, puppy snuggles are the best way to warm up!
5. Enjoy a Coffee or Sip on a Hot Cocoa – Sometimes those Disney Cruise Line quiet moments are the ones that we enjoy the most. We recommend that Adults stop by the Cove Cafe for a warm latte or hot chocolate. It’s the perfect way to warm your insides while taking in the beautiful views.
